Archery Release Aid Mount

Abstract

An archery release aid mount includes an attachment mechanism configured to rigidly attach the archery release aid to a bow. A securing device is configured to receive an archery release aid. The securing device includes a securing device that upon the archery release aid mount receiving the archery release aid, holds the archery release aid securely, and that is configured to allow a user to without tools remove the archery release aid from the archery release aid mount when the user wants to use the archery release aid during archery.

What is claimed: 
     
         1 . An archery release aid mount attached to or integral with a sight of an archery bow, comprising:
 an archery release aid mount configured to receive an archery release aid; and   an attachment mechanism configured to attach the archery release aid mount to the sight of the archery bow.   
     
     
         2 . The archery release aid mount of  claim 1 , wherein the sight is adjustable for targets at different distances and includes a dove tail mount crossbar that is integral or attached to the archery bow. 
     
     
         3 . The archery release aid mount of  claim 2 , wherein the attachment mechanism includes a clamping plate and a mounting fixture that secure the archery release aid mount to the dove tail crossbar. 
     
     
         4 . The archery release aid mount of  claim 3 , wherein the dove tail mount crossbar includes a flat surface and an angled surface and the clamping plate adjacent the flat surface and the mounting fixture includes radius features that contact the angled surface. 
     
     
         5 . The archery release aid mount of  claim 4 , wherein the radius features allow a secure connection of the mounting fixture to various width dove tail cross bars and a variable clearance profile between the mounting fixture and the dove tail cross bars. 
     
     
         6 . The archery release aid mount of  claim 3 , wherein a plurality of mating nuts and bolts are used to hold the clamping plate and the mounting fixture securely at a location on the dove tail crossbar. 
     
     
         7 . The archery release aid mount of  claim 6 , wherein the clamping plate and mounting fixture are rectangular shaped blocks, adjacent each other with an opening for the dove tail cross bar, and have matching holes for the mating nuts and bolts. 
     
     
         3 . The archery release aid mount of  claim 1 , wherein the archery release aid mount includes a securing device that upon the archery release aid mount receiving the archery release aid, holds the archery release aid securely to allow a user to remove the archery release aid without tools from the archery release aid mount when the user wants to use the archery release aid during archery. 
     
     
         9 . The archery release aid mount of claim  8 , wherein the securing device includes magnet(s) mounted on a wall to releasably secure the archery release aid. 
     
     
         10 . The archery release aid mount of claim  8 , wherein the securing device includes a lever that when in a first position holds the archery release aid securely and that when rotated to a second position allows removal of the archery release aid from the archery release aid from the archery release aid mount.
