a bracket having a flat mounting portion and a curved attachment portion, the flat mounting portion configured to be secured to a sheathing and comprised of a first mounting hole, the curved attachment portion extending outwardly from beneath a siding placed atop the sheathing and comprised of a threaded hole for receiving a shutter fastener; a fastening screw configured to secure the flat mounting portion of the bracket to the sheathing through the mounting hole; and a grommet configured to be positioned over the shutter fastener to provide a protective seal.
2 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 1 , wherein the flat mounting portion is comprised of a backing.
3 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 1 , wherein the bracket is comprised of a galvanized steel.
4 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 1 , wherein the bracket is comprised of an aluminum.
5 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 1 , wherein the bracket is comprised of a stainless steel.
6 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 2 , wherein the backing is rubberized.
7 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 2 , wherein the backing is textured.

11 . A shutter mounting bracket device comprising:
a bracket having a flat mounting portion and a curved attachment portion, the flat mounting portion configured to be secured to a sheathing and comprised of a first mounting hole, the curved attachment portion extending outwardly from beneath a siding placed atop the sheathing and comprised of a threaded hole for receiving a shutter fastener; a fastening screw configured to secure the flat mounting portion of the bracket to the sheathing through the mounting hole; and a grommet configured to be positioned over the shutter fastener to provide a protective seal, wherein the grommet is comprised of a simulative texture.
12 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 11 , wherein the simulative texture is comprised of a wood grain.
13 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 11 , wherein the bracket is comprised of a galvanized steel.
14 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 11 , wherein the flat mounting portion is comprised of a backing.
15 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 14 , wherein the backing is rubberized.
16 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 14 , wherein the backing is textured.
17 . The shutter mounting bracket device of claim 11 , wherein the shutter fastener is comprised of a threaded fastener.

20 . A method of using a shutter mounting bracket device, the method comprising the following steps:
providing a shutter mounting bracket device comprised of a bracket having a flat mounting portion and a curved attachment portion, a fastening screw, a shutter fastener, and a grommet; positioning the flat mounting portion of the bracket against a sheathing beneath a siding; securing the flat mounting portion of the bracket to the sheathing using the fastening screw through a mounting hole in the flat mounting portion; positioning the shutter in front of the curved attachment portion of the bracket; inserting the shutter fastener through the shutter and a threaded hole in the curved attachment portion; tightening the shutter fastener to secure the shutter in place; and applying the grommet over the shutter fastener.Cited by (0)
