Refrigerator and control method therefor
Abstract
A refrigerator according the present disclosure includes a first tray configured to form a portion of an ice making cell, a second tray configured to form another portion of the ice making cell and capable of moving relative to the first tray, a driver configured to move the second tray, a temperature sensor configured to sense the temperature of water or ice in the ice making cell, and a controller configured to control the driver, in which when it is determined that the water in the ice making cell is in a supercooled state based on the temperature measured by the tray temperature sensor, the controller may operate the driver to move the second tray.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An ice maker comprising:
a tray configured to form at least a portion of a cell that is a space in which a liquid is phase-changed into ice; and a tray cover coupled to the tray, wherein the tray includes a first portion that defines at least a portion of the cell and a second portion extended from a predetermined point of the first portion, wherein the second portion includes a first extension part extending from a first point of the first portion and a second extension part extending from a second point of the first portion, wherein the tray cover includes: a first wall having a portion provided to surround the first extension part, and a second wall having a portion provided to surround the second extension part, and wherein a first height of the portion of the first wall is different from a second height of the portion of the second wall.
2 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein the first height of the portion of first wall is greater than the second height of the portion of the second wall.
3 . The ice maker of claim 2 , wherein the second extension part includes a curved surface.
4 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein the first extension part and the second extension part extend in different directions.
5 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein the first extension part and the second extension part are provided in an asymmetrical shape with respect to a central line of the cell.
6 . The ice maker of claim 1 , wherein the tray comprises:
a first tray configured to form a portion of the cell, and a second tray configured to form another portion of the cell, wherein the second tray comprises the first portion and the second portion.
7 . The ice maker of claim 6 , wherein the portion of the cell and the other portion of the cell are arranged in a first direction, and
wherein each of the first height and the second height is a length in the first direction.
8 . The ice maker of claim 6 , wherein in a state in which the first tray is in contact with the second tray, at least a portion of the tray cover is configured to surround the first tray.
9 . The ice maker of claim 8 , wherein in a state in which the first tray is in contact with the second tray, the first wall is configured to surround the first tray.
10 . The ice maker of claim 8 , wherein in a state in which the first tray is in contact with the second tray, the second wall is configured to surround the first tray.
11 . The ice maker of claim 6 , wherein in a state in which the first tray is in contact with the second tray, at least a portion of the first wall is spaced apart from the first tray.
12 . The ice maker of claim 6 , wherein in a state in which the first tray is in contact with the second tray, at least a portion of the second wall is spaced apart from the first tray.
13 . The ice maker of claim 6 , further comprising a tray supporter coupled to the second tray.
14 . The ice maker of claim 13 , wherein the tray supporter includes an accommodation space to accommodate the first portion of the second tray.
15 . The ice maker of claim 6 , further comprising a first tray cover coupled to the first tray.
16 . A refrigerator comprising:
a cabinet having a compartment; a door that opens and closes the compartment; and the ice maker of claim 1 .
17 . An ice maker comprising:
a tray configured to form at least a portion of a cell that is a space in which a liquid is phase-changed into ice; and a tray cover coupled to the tray, wherein the tray includes a first portion that defines at least a portion of the cell and a second portion extended from a predetermined point of the first portion, wherein the second portion includes a first extension part extending from a first point of the first portion and a second extension part extending from a second point of the first portion, wherein the tray cover includes: a first wall having a portion provided to surround the first extension part, and a second wall having a portion provided to surround the second extension part, and wherein a curvature of the portion of the first wall is different from a curvature of the portion of the second wall.
18 . The ice maker of claim 17 , wherein the curvature of the portion of first wall is less than the curvature of the portion of the second wall.
19 . The ice maker of claim 18 , wherein the second extension part includes a curved surface.
20 . A refrigerator comprising:
a cabinet having a compartment; a door that opens and closes the compartment; and the ice maker of claim 17 .Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
