Drinking Container with Modular Coupling Component

Abstract

A container, such as a beverage container, is provided. The container includes a ledge surface that projects away from a bottom surface of the container. The ledge surface is configured to interface with ribs projecting over a recess in a unit, such as a tool storage unit.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A drinking container comprising:
 a storage body defining a containment area for liquids, the storage body extending along a longitudinal axis;   an opening at a top of the containment area;   a bottom panel coupled to a bottom end of the storage body, the bottom panel defines a bottom-most surface facing away from the opening; and   a plurality of tabs that extend radially outwardly from the bottom panel with respect to the longitudinal axis, each of the plurality of tabs extending circumferentially around the bottom panel with respect to the longitudinal axis.   
     
     
         2 . The drinking container of  claim 1 , the plurality of tabs comprising a first tab, the first tab defining a first ledge upper surface that is a first distance above the bottom-most surface as measured along a first axis parallel to the longitudinal axis. 
     
     
         3 . The drinking container of  claim 2 , wherein the first ledge upper surface is horizontal. 
     
     
         4 . The drinking container of  claim 2 , the first tab defining a second ledge upper surface that is a second distance above the bottom-most surface as measured along a second axis parallel to the longitudinal axis, wherein the second ledge upper surface is distinct from the first ledge upper surface. 
     
     
         5 . The drinking container of  claim 4 , wherein the first distance is less than the second distance. 
     
     
         6 . The drinking container of  claim 5 , comprising a first stopping wall that extends outwardly from the bottom panel and that extends between the storage body and the first tab. 
     
     
         7 . The drinking container of  claim 6 , wherein the first stopping wall extends generally upwards from the first tab. 
     
     
         8 . The drinking container of  claim 6 , wherein the first stopping wall extends from the second ledge upper surface. 
     
     
         9 . The drinking container of  claim 1 , each of the plurality of tabs defining a first ledge upper surface that is a first distance above the bottom-most surface as measured along a first axis parallel to the longitudinal axis, and each of the plurality of tabs defining a second ledge upper surface that is a second distance above the bottom-most surface as measured along a second axis parallel to the longitudinal axis, wherein the first distance is less than the second distance. 
     
     
         10 . The drinking container of  claim 9 , each of the plurality of tabs comprising a stopping wall that extends outwardly from the bottom panel and that extends between the storage body and the respective tab. 
     
     
         11 . The drinking container of  claim 10 , wherein each of the stopping walls extends generally upwards from the respective tab. 
     
     
         12 . The drinking container of  claim 10 , wherein each of the stopping walls extends from the respective second ledge upper surface of the respective tab. 
     
     
         13 . A drinking container comprising:
 a storage body defining a containment area for liquids, the storage body extending along a longitudinal axis;   an opening at a top of the containment area;   a bottom panel coupled to a bottom end of the storage body, the bottom panel defines a bottom-most surface facing away from the opening; and   a first tab extending radially outwardly from the bottom panel with respect to the longitudinal axis, the first tab defining a first ledge upper surface that is a first distance above the bottom-most surface as measured along a first axis parallel to the longitudinal axis, and the first tab defining a second ledge upper surface that is a second distance above the bottom-most surface as measured along a second axis parallel to the longitudinal axis, wherein the first distance is less than the second distance.   
     
     
         14 . The drinking container of  claim 13 , wherein the first ledge upper surface and the second ledge upper surface each define a horizontal surface that faces upward. 
     
     
         15 . The drinking container of  claim 13 , the first tab comprising a central angled upper surface extending between the first ledge upper surface and the second ledge upper surface, the central angled upper surface facing upward at an angle away from the second ledge upper surface. 
     
     
         16 . The drinking container of  claim 15 , the first tab comprising a leading angled upper surface extending from the first ledge upper surface circumferentially in a direction away from the second ledge upper surface, the leading angled upper surface facing upward at an angle away from the first ledge upper surface. 
     
     
         17 . A drinking container comprising:
 a storage body defining a containment area for liquids, the storage body extending along a longitudinal axis;   an opening at a top of the containment area;   a bottom panel coupled to a bottom end of the storage body, the bottom panel defines a bottom-most surface facing away from the opening; and   a first tab extending radially outwardly from the bottom panel with respect to the longitudinal axis, the first tab comprising a stopping wall that extends outwardly from the bottom panel and that extends between the storage body and the first tab.   
     
     
         18 . The drinking container of  claim 17 , wherein the stopping wall extends generally upwards from the first tab. 
     
     
         19 . The drinking container of  claim 17 , wherein the stopping wall extends vertically between the first tab and the storage body. 
     
     
         20 . The drinking container of  claim 17 , wherein the stopping wall extends generally upwards from a horizontal upper surface of the first tab.
