Abstract
A light-weight metal cornhole game board formed from a hollow metal substantially flat box with a closable foam port and a 6-inch cornhole bag hole bordered and peripherally sealed by a section of pipe or injection molded plastic sleeve within the box. A closed-cell, expanding cured foam is injected into the hollow metal box through the closeable foam port. Folding long legs and short legs are pivotally fastened to a bottom side of the metal box which fold up flush with the box.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed:
1 . A light-weight metal cornhole game board, comprising:
a. a hollow metal substantially flat box with a closable foam port and a 6-inch cornhole bag hole bordered and sealed by a sliced section of pipe or injection molded plastic sleeve; b. a closed-cell, expanding cured foam is within the hollow metal box; and c. folding long legs and short legs are pivotally fastened to a bottom side of the metal box.
2 . The cornhole game board of claim 1 , further comprising upper and lower opposing metal skins each with opposing four edges forming a downward-facing upper pan and an upward-facing pan with edges overlapping forming the hollow metal box.
3 . The cornhole game board of claim 1 , wherein the foam comprises a closed-cell, two-part polyurethane foam that is injected, expanded and cured in the hollow box.
4 . The cornhole game board of claim 1 , wherein the 6-inch pipe is a slice of PVC pipe or an injection molded plastic sleeve.
5 . The cornhole game board of claim 1 , wherein the folding long legs and short legs are made of sheet metal and the longer legs have an aperture alignable with the 6-inch bag hole for handling the game board and hanging the game board on a hook on a wall.
6 . The cornhole game board of claim 1 , wherein the hollow metal substantially flat box and legs are made of galvanized steel and the legs fold upward to flush engagement with the game box.
7 . The cornhole game board of claim 6 , wherein the legs have hemmed side edges and the long legs have a cut out portion forming feet that are covered for safety with reinforced rubber edging.
8 . A light-weight metal cornhole game board, comprising:
a. upper and lower opposing galvanized steel skins each with opposing four edges forming a downward facing upper pan and an upward facing pan with edges overlapping forming a hollow galvanized steel substantially flat box with a closable foam port and a 6-inch cornhole bag hole bordered and sealed by a slice of PVC pipe or injection molded plastic sleeve; b. a closed-cell, expanding two part polyurethane cured foam is within the hollow metal box; c. folding long legs and short legs made of galvanized steel, are pivotally fastened to a bottom side of the metal box and fold upward to flush engagement with the game box; d. the longer legs have an aperture alignable with the 6-inch bag hole for handling the game board and hanging the game board on a hook on a wall, the legs have hemmed side edges, and the long legs have a cut out portion forming feet, are covered for safety with reinforced rubber edging.
9 . A light-weight metal cornhole game board, comprising:
a. upper and lower opposing galvanized steel skins each with opposing four edges forming a downward facing upper pan and an upward facing pan with edges overlapping forming a hollow galvanized steel substantially flat box with a closable foam port and a 6-inch cornhole bag hole bordered and sealed by a slice of PVC pipe or injection molded plastic sleeve; b. a closed-cell, expanding two part polyurethane cured foam is within the hollow metal box; and c. folding long legs and short legs made of galvanized steel, are pivotally fastened to a bottom side of the metal box and fold upward to flush engagement with the game box, and the longer legs have an aperture alignable with the 6-inch bag hole for handling the game board and hanging the game board on a hook on a wall, the legs have hemmed side edges, and the long legs have a cut out portion forming feet that are covered for safety with reinforced rubber edging.
10 . A method of forming a light-weight cornhole game board, comprising:
a. forming a downward facing upper pan and an upward facing pan with edges overlapping forming a hollow galvanized steel substantially flat box out of upper and lower opposing galvanized steel skins each with opposing four edges; b. forming a closable foam port and a 6-inch cornhole bag hole; c. placing and sealing a slice of PVC pipe or injection molded plastic sleeve at the 6-inch cornhole bag hole between the upper- and lower-facing pans; d. placing the flat box in a press for exerting force on all sides of the box; e. injecting and curing a closed-cell, expanding two part polyurethane cured foam is within the hollow metal box; f. forming an aperture in a set of long legs; and g. pivotally attaching folding long legs and short legs made of galvanized steel to a bottom side of the metal box for folding upward to flush engagement with the game box for transportation and storage, the aperture and 6-inch hole being alignable for hanging the game board on a hook on a wall.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
