Abstract
An aerosol-generating device is disclosed. The aerosol-generating device includes a housing; a cartridge disposed in the housing and including a first container and a second container which are rotatably coupled, wherein the second container includes a plurality of chambers which are isolated from each other; a dial gear disposed in the housing and configured to rotate about a rotating shaft parallel to a rotating shaft of the second container; and a cartridge gear coupled to the second container and engaged with the dial gear such that rotation of the dial gear causes rotation of the second container via the cartridge gear.

1 . An aerosol-generating device comprising:
a housing elongated in a first direction; a mouth piece protruding from the housing in the first direction and extending flatly in a second direction intersecting the first direction; and a dial exposed through one surface of the housing, and wherein the one surface of the housing faces a third direction intersecting the first direction and the second direction.
2 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 1 , further comprising: a cartridge provided inside the housing, having a plurality of chambers, and
wherein the dial is configured to rotate the cartridge.
3 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 2 , wherein the housing comprises a reception space, and
wherein the cartridge is detachably coupled within the reception space.
4 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 3 , further comprising: a cartridge gear surrounding the reception space of the housing and configured to be coupled with the cartridge,
wherein the dial is configured to rotate the cartridge gear, and wherein the cartridge is configured to rotate the cartridge.
5 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 4 , further comprising: a dial gear engaged with the cartridge gear and rotating integrally with the dial,
wherein the dial is configured to rotate the dial gear, and wherein the dial gear is configured to rotate the cartridge gear.
6 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 2 , wherein the mouth piece is pivotably provided on one end of the cartridge outside the reception space.
7 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 6 , when the mouth piece is pivoted parallel to the first direction, the mouth piece protrudes from the housing, and
when the mouth piece is pivoted parallel to the third direction, the mouth piece is accommodated in the housing.
8 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 7 , when the mouth piece is pivoted parallel to the third direction, one end of the mouth piece is positioned over the dial.
9 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 1 , wherein the housing has a cross-section intersecting the first direction and elongated in the third direction, and
wherein a width of the cross-section of the housing measured in the third direction is greater than a width of the cross-section of the housing measured in the second direction.
10 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 1 , wherein the mouth piece is adjacent to another surface of the housing opposite to the one surface of the housing.
11 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 1 , wherein the one surface of the housing is convex in the third direction, and
wherein an edge of the dial corresponds to the one surface of the housing.
12 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 1 , wherein the one surface of the housing comprises a slot exposing the dial, and
wherein the slot extends from the one surface of the housing to another surface of the housing opposite to the one surface of the housing.
13 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 12 , wherein an edge of the dial comprises one end and another end opposite to each other, and
wherein one end and another end of the edge of the dial are exposed through the slot.
14 . The aerosol-generating device according to claim 1 , wherein the mouth piece is located at one end of the housing, and
wherein the dial is adjacent to the one end of the housing.
15 . An aerosol-generating device comprising:
a housing elongated in a first direction, the housing having a reception space; a cartridge provided inside the reception space, the cartridge comprising a plurality of chambers; and a dial exposed through one surface of the housing and configured to rotate the cartridge, and wherein the housing comprises a cross-section elongated in a second direction intersecting the first direction, wherein the one surface of the housing faces the second direction.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
