Multi-modal children's accessory system and kit

Abstract

A system, method and/or kit for assembling multiple different children's accessories using shared or modular components or parts to assembly multiple different accessory modalities or configurations. In example embodiments, the multiple different accessory modalities or configurations may include one or more of a gym or play mat, a play gym, an activity jumper, an activity center, a play table, and/or a playhouse.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A kit comprising a plurality of components, comprising:
 a pad, one or more support legs, one or more support feet, one or more couplings, and a connection hub;   wherein the kit further comprises one or more additional components selected from a platform, a seat, a top cover, one or more elastic members, straps, cords, elastic members, an outer soft-goods cover, and an outer shell; and   wherein the plurality of components are configured for assembly into a plurality of different accessory configurations, the plurality of different accessory configurations comprising at least two accessory configurations selected from a play mat, a play gym, an activity jumper, an activity center, a play table, a playhouse, a play tunnel, a tummy mat, an arts and crafts table, and a carry mat.   
     
     
         2 . The kit of  claim 1 , further comprising packaging configured to contain the plurality of components. 
     
     
         3 . The kit of  claim 1 , further comprising instructions for assembling the plurality of components into the plurality of different accessory configurations. 
     
     
         4 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein the platform comprises a central opening for receiving the seat. 
     
     
         5 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein the outer soft-goods cover comprises a plurality of panels and one or more openings. 
     
     
         6 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein the pad is foldable. 
     
     
         7 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein the outer shell comprises a soft-goods sheet material. 
     
     
         8 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of components further comprises one or more interactive toys detachably mountable to the platform. 
     
     
         9 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein, in the activity jumper and activity table configurations, the seat is detachably coupled to the platform and is configured to rotate relative to the platform. 
     
     
         10 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein, in the activity jumper configuration, lengths of the one or more elastic members are selectively configurable to support a child and allow the child to bounce. 
     
     
         11 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein, in the play gym configuration, the accessory configuration comprises the pad, the one or more support legs, the one or more support feet, and the connection hub. 
     
     
         12 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein, in the activity jumper configuration, the accessory configuration comprises the one or more support legs, the one or more support feet, the platform, the seat, and the one or more elastic members. 
     
     
         13 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein, in the activity center configuration, the accessory configuration comprises the one or more support legs, the one or more support feet, the platform, and the seat. 
     
     
         14 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein, in the play table configuration, the accessory configuration comprises the one or more support legs, the one or more support feet, the platform, and the top cover. 
     
     
         15 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein, in the playhouse configuration, the accessory configuration comprises the one or more support legs, the one or more support feet, the connection hub, and the outer shell. 
     
     
         16 . The kit of  claim 1 , wherein the plurality of components further comprises one or more interactive toys detachably mountable to at least one of the components. 
     
     
         17 . A kit comprising a plurality of components, comprising:
 a pad, one or more support legs, one or more support feet, one or more couplings, and a connection hub;   wherein the kit further comprises one or more additional components selected from a platform, a seat, a top cover, one or more elastic members, straps, cords, elastic members, an outer soft-goods cover, one or more pillows, and an outer shell;   wherein the plurality of components are configured for assembly into a plurality of different accessory configurations, the plurality of different accessory configurations comprising at least two accessory configurations selected from a play mat, a play gym, an activity jumper, an activity center, a play table, a playhouse, a play tunnel, a tummy mat, an arts and crafts table, and a carry mat,   wherein, in the activity jumper configuration, the accessory configuration comprises the one or more support legs, the one or more support feet, the platform, the seat, and the one or more elastic members configurable to support a child and allow the child to bounce;   wherein, in the play gym configuration, the accessory configuration comprises the pad, the one or more support legs, the one or more support feet, and the connection hub;   wherein, in the activity center configuration, the accessory configuration comprises the one or more support legs, the one or more support feet, the platform, and the seat; and   wherein, in the playhouse configuration, the accessory configuration comprises the one or more support legs, the one or more support feet, the connection hub, and the outer shell.   
     
     
         18 . The kit of  claim 17 , wherein the plurality of components further comprises one or more interactive toys detachably mountable to at least one of the components. 
     
     
         19 . A kit comprising a plurality of components, wherein the plurality of components are configured for assembly into a plurality of different accessory configurations, the plurality of different accessory configurations comprising at least two accessory configurations selected from a play mat, a play gym, an activity jumper, an activity center, a play table, a playhouse, a play tunnel, a tummy mat, an arts and crafts table, and a carry mat,
 wherein the plurality of components comprises at least one structural component, at least one support component, at least one soft goods component, and at least one connecting component,   wherein the at least one structural component is a platform, a seat, a frame, or an outer shell;   wherein the at least one support component is one or more support legs, or one or more support feet;   wherein the at least one soft goods component is a pad, a mat, a panel, a cover, or a pillow; and   wherein the at least one connecting component is a coupling or a connection hub.   
     
     
         20 . The kit of  claim 19 , wherein the kit further comprises one or more additional components selected from a top cover, one or more elastic members, straps, cords, or, elastic members.
