Abstract

A nozzle for a cleaner includes a nozzle housing including a suction flow path through which air including dust flows, a nozzle base on which a driving motor is seated on an upper surface of the nozzle base, and a nozzle cover coupled to the upper surface of the nozzle base to cover the driving motor from above. The nozzle housing also includes a rotation plate disposed below the nozzle base and provided to attach a mop, a motor printed circuit board (PCB) disposed separately from the nozzle base and connected to the driving motor for an operation the driving motor, and a control board installed on the nozzle base and having a controller, in which the motor PCB is connected to the control board and receives a control signal, and the controller senses a current of the driving motor.

1 . A nozzle for a cleaner comprising:
 a nozzle housing including:
 a suction flow path through which air including dust flows; 
 a nozzle base on which a driving motor is seated on an upper surface of the nozzle base; and 
 a nozzle cover coupled to the upper surface of the nozzle base to cover the driving motor from above; 
   a rotation plate disposed below the nozzle base and provided to attach a mop;   a motor printed circuit board (PCB) disposed separately from the nozzle base and connected to the driving motor for an operation the driving motor; and   a control board installed on the nozzle base and having a controller,   wherein the motor PCB is connected to the control board and is configured to receive a control signal, and   wherein the controller is configured to sense a current of the driving motor and control the operation of the driving motor based on the sensed current.   
     
     
         2 . The nozzle of  claim 1 , wherein, when the nozzle is placed on a floor, where a friction force between the mop and the floor acts as a load on the driving motor, the current of the driving motor is greater than or equal to a reference value, and when the nozzle is lifted from the floor, the current of the driving motor is less than the reference value, and
 wherein the controller is configured to control the operation of the driving motor to stop if the sensed current of the driving motor is less than the reference value.   
     
     
         3 . The nozzle of  claim 2 , further comprising:
 a water tank mounted on the nozzle housing;   a water pump provided in the nozzle housing to control amount of water discharged from the water tank; and   a pump motor connected to the water pump,   wherein the controller is configured to control a pump motor of the water pump to stop operation if the sensed current of the driving motor is less than the reference value.   
     
     
         4 . The nozzle of  claim 3 , wherein the controller is configured to control the pump motor and the driving motor to operate simultaneously or sequentially when the sensed driving motor current is greater than or equal to the reference value. 
     
     
         5 . The nozzle of  claim 3 , further comprising:
 a connection tube formed at a rear portion of the nozzle to guide connection with the cleaner; and   a terminal for supplying power to the nozzle disposed on the connection tube,   wherein, when the cleaner and the connection tube are connected, power is supplied to operate the driving motor and pump motor.   
     
     
         6 . The nozzle of  claim 3 , wherein an operating unit for mounting the water tank is elastically supported by an elastic member provided in the nozzle housing. 
     
     
         7 . The nozzle of  claim 6 , wherein the nozzle housing has a flow path cover defining the suction flow path, and
 wherein the flow path cover includes an operating unit receiving portion forming a recessed shape for supporting and receiving the operating unit.   
     
     
         8 . The nozzle of  claim 7 , wherein a bottom of the operating unit receiving portion is provided with a coupling protruding portion that protrudes upward and to which an elastic member is connected. 
     
     
         9 . The nozzle of  claim 1 , wherein the driving motor is arranged parallel to a centerline of the suction flow path. 
     
     
         10 . The nozzle of  claim 9 , wherein an axis of the driving motor is arranged to extend in a forward-backward direction of the nozzle. 
     
     
         11 . The nozzle of  claim 10 , wherein the axis of the driving motor is arranged parallel to the centerline of the suction flow path. 
     
     
         12 . The nozzle of  claim 11 , wherein the driving motor is arranged to overlap the rotation plate in a vertical direction of the nozzle. 
     
     
         13 . The nozzle of  claim 11 , wherein at least a portion of a transmission gear, which transmits a power of the driving motor to the rotation plate, is arranged to overlap the driving motor in a vertical direction of the nozzle. 
     
     
         14 . The nozzle of  claim 13 , wherein the axis of the driving motor is positioned higher than a rotational trajectory of the transmission gear. 
     
     
         15 . A nozzle for a cleaner comprising:
 a nozzle housing including:
 a suction flow path through which air including dust flows; 
 a nozzle base on which a driving motor is seated on an upper surface of the nozzle base; and 
 a nozzle cover coupled to the upper surface of the nozzle base to cover the driving motor from above; and 
 a rotation plate disposed below the nozzle base and provided to attach a mop; 
   a motor printed circuit board (PCB) disposed separately from the nozzle base and connected to the driving motor for an operation the driving motor;   a water tank mounted on the nozzle housing;   a pump motor configured to control amount of water discharged from the water tank; and   a control board installed on the nozzle base and having a controller,   wherein the motor PCB is connected to the control board and is configured to receive a control signal, and   wherein the controller is configured to sense a current of the driving motor and control an operation of at least one of the pump motor and the driving motor.   
     
     
         16 . The nozzle of  claim 15 , wherein, when the nozzle is placed on a floor, where a friction force between the mop and the floor acts as a load on the driving motor, the current of the driving motor is greater than or equal to a reference value, and when the nozzle is lifted from the floor, the current of the driving motor is less than the reference value, and
 wherein the controller is configured to control the operation of the driving motor to stop if the sensed current of the driving motor is less than the reference value.   
     
     
         17 . The nozzle of  claim 16 , wherein the controller is configured to control the operation of the pump motor to stop operation if the sensed current of the driving motor less than the reference value. 
     
     
         18 . The nozzle of  claim 17 , wherein the controller is configured to control the pump motor and the driving motor to operate simultaneously or sequentially when the sensed driving motor current greater than or equal to the reference value. 
     
     
         19 . The nozzle of  claim 15 , further comprising:
 a connection tube formed at a rear portion of the nozzle to guide connection with the cleaner; and   a terminal for supplying power to the nozzle disposed on the connection tube,   wherein, when the cleaner and the connection tube are connected, power is supplied to operate the driving motor and pump motor.
