Fluid end packing lubrication delivery system
Abstract
A fluid end system includes a well services pump, the well services pump including fluid ends, the fluid ends including a packing cartridge. The fluid end system also includes a lubrication delivery system, the lubrication delivery system in fluid connection with the packing cartridge. The lubrication delivery system includes a grease reservoir and a lubrication pump, the lubrication pump positioned below the grease reservoir and in fluid connection with the grease reservoir. The lubrication delivery system also includes an agitator blade, the agitator blade positioned above the lubrication pump within the grease reservoir, wherein the agitator blade has a blade section positioned horizontally above the lubrication pump.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A fluid end system comprising:
a well services pump, the well services pump including fluid ends, the fluid ends including a packing cartridge; a lubrication delivery system, the lubrication delivery system in fluid connection with the packing cartridge, the lubrication delivery system including:
a lubrication reservoir;
a lubrication pump, the lubrication pump positioned below the lubrication reservoir and in fluid connection with the lubrication reservoir; and
an agitator blade, the agitator blade positioned above the lubrication pump within the lubrication reservoir, wherein the agitator blade has a blade section positioned horizontally above the lubrication pump.
2 . The fluid end system of claim 1 , wherein the lubrication pump is centered below the lubrication reservoir.
3 . The fluid end system of claim 1 , wherein the lubrication reservoir is positioned atop a support frame.
4 . The fluid end system of claim 3 , wherein the lubrication pump is connected to the support frame.
5 . The fluid end system of claim 3 wherein a flange-gasket-flange assembly is placed between the lubrication reservoir and the lubrication pump.
6 . The fluid end system of claim 5 , wherein the flange-gasket-flange assembly includes an upper flange, the upper flange positioned on top of a gasket and a lower flange, the lower flange positioned below the gasket.
7 . The fluid end system of claim 6 , wherein the flange-gasket-flange assembly is held together by screws or rivets.
8 . The fluid end system of claim 1 , wherein the blade section of the agitator blade includes a shaft hole.
9 . The fluid end system of claim 8 further comprising a shaft, the shaft affixed to the agitator blade and positioned through the blade section.
10 . The fluid end system of claim 9 , wherein the shaft is connected to the lubrication pump.
11 . The fluid end system of claim 10 , wherein the shaft is affixed to an eccentric cam.
12 . The fluid end system of claim 1 , wherein the agitator blade further includes a wiper section, wherein the wiper section is attached to or formed integrally with the blade section.
13 . The fluid end system of claim 12 , wherein the wiper section extends vertically from the blade section.
14 . The fluid end system of claim 12 , wherein the wiper section includes a wiper edge adapted to wipe a lubrication fluid from an inside of the grease reservoir.
15 . The fluid end system of claim 1 , wherein a screen is positioned between the lubrication reservoir and the lubrication pump.
16 . The fluid end system of claim 1 , wherein the blade section is formed as a single piece.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
