Abstract

This application provides a communication method, apparatus, and system, and belongs to the field of communication technologies. In the method, a network device may send first indication information to a terminal based on service requirements of different services, to indicate the terminal to enter a first sleep mode whose wake-up duration matches a service requirement of the terminal, so that even if the terminal is woken up in the first sleep mode, subsequent data transmission of the terminal can still meet the service requirement of the terminal.
