Abstract
Various embodiments of the present disclosure can include an electronic cigarette. The electronic cigarette can include a body portion, the body portion including a body proximal end and a body distal end, wherein the body portion includes an air inlet. The electronic cigarette can include a mouth piece connected to the body proximal end. The electronic cigarette can include an atomizer disposed in the body portion. The electronic cigarette can include a backflow mitigation valve disposed in the electronic cigarette, wherein the backflow mitigation valve is closed in a naturally biased state.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 18 . (canceled)
19 . An electronic cigarette, comprising:
a body portion, the body portion including a body proximal end and a body distal end, wherein the body portion includes an air inlet; a mouth piece connected to the body proximal end; an atomizer disposed in the body portion; and a porous material disposed between the atomizer and the air inlet.
20 . The electronic cigarette of claim 19 , wherein the porous material is formed from an absorbent material.
21 . The electronic cigarette of claim 19 , wherein the porous material is configured to prevent moisture from traveling from the atomizer out of the air inlet.
22 . The electronic cigarette of claim 19 , wherein the porous material includes hydrophobic properties.
23 . The electronic cigarette of claim 19 , wherein porous material includes a hydrophobic coating.
24 . The electronic cigarette of claim 19 , wherein the porous material includes oleophobic properties.
25 . The electronic cigarette of claim 19 , wherein the porous material includes an oleophobic coating.
26 . The electronic cigarette of claim 19 , wherein the porous material is configured to repel moisture created by a user's breath flowing from the mouth piece towards the air inlet.
27 . The electronic cigarette of claim 19 , wherein the porous material is configured to repel liquid that has dripped from the body portion of the electronic cigarette.
28 . The electronic cigarette of claim 19 , wherein the porous material is configured to repel moisture that has condensed from vapor produced by the atomizer.
29 . The electronic cigarette of claim 19 , wherein properties of the porous material prevent moisture from traveling from a proximal side of the porous material to a distal side of the porous material.
30 . An electronic cigarette, comprising:
a body portion, the body portion including a body proximal end and a body distal end, wherein the body portion includes an air inlet; a mouth piece connected to the body proximal end; an atomizer disposed in the body portion; a battery portion connected to the body distal end via a battery connector; and a porous material disposed in the battery connector.
31 . The electronic cigarette of claim 30 , wherein the porous material is formed from an absorbent material.
32 . The electronic cigarette of claim 30 , wherein the porous material is configured to prevent moisture from traveling from the atomizer out of the air inlet.
33 . The electronic cigarette of claim 30 , wherein the porous material includes hydrophobic properties.
34 . The electronic cigarette of claim 30 , wherein the porous material includes oleophobic properties.
35 . An electronic cigarette, comprising:
a body portion, the body portion including a body proximal end and a body distal end, wherein the body portion includes an air inlet; a mouth piece connected to the body proximal end; an atomizer disposed in the body portion; a battery portion connected to the body distal end via a battery connector; and a porous material disposed in the battery connector, wherein the porous material prevents moisture from traveling between the atomizer and air inlet.
36 . The electronic cigarette of claim 35 , wherein the porous material is disposed in an air inlet chamber.
37 . The electronic cigarette of claim 36 , wherein the porous material is disposed in an air path fluidly coupling the atomizer with the air inlet.
38 . The electronic cigarette of claim 37 , wherein the air inlet chamber has a larger diameter than the air path adjacent to the air inlet chamber.Cited by (0)
