System and methods for garment accessorizing

Abstract

The present invention is directed to a system and methods by which a garment may be accessorized. Preferred embodiments of the present invention include one or more mountable accessorizing apparatus which may be shaped and/or shapeable to form one or more mounting surfaces for mounting the mountable accessorizing apparatus on the garment and to provide one or more display components which may be viewable for accessorizing the garment. Some embodiments may include attachment components which facilitate mounting the one or more mountable accessorizing apparatus on the garment. Attachment components may include friction pads, magnets, pressure-sensitive adhesive, and/or hooks. The one or more display components may be viewable to accessorize the garment such as through color, pattern, and/or texture. In some embodiments, the system may include one or more supplemental modules which may supplement mounting and/or accessorizing.

1 . A mountable accessorizing apparatus configured to be received within a buttonhole of a garment, the apparatus comprising:
 a torus-like shaped body formed from a flexible material and configured so that the body may be adjusted to facilitate insertion in the buttonhole of the garment,   the body comprising a gap by which the torus-like shaped body is more easily shaped,   the torus-like shaped body comprising a first mounting surface and a second mounting surface, the first mounting surface mounted on a first edge surface of the buttonhole and the second mounting surface mounted on a second edge surface of the buttonhole.   
     
     
         2 . The mountable accessorizing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein the torus-like shaped body is compressible. 
     
     
         3 . The mountable accessorizing apparatus according to  claim 1 , wherein each of the first mounting surface and the second mounting surface include hook elements. 
     
     
         4 . The mountable accessorizing apparatus according to  claim 1  further comprising a supplemental attachment component attachable to the torus-like shaped body. 
     
     
         5 . The mountable accessorizing apparatus according to  claim 4  wherein the supplemental attachment component comprises magnetic elements with magnetically charged surfaces so that the supplemental attachment component is attachable to the torus-like shaped body. 
     
     
         6 . The mountable accessorizing apparatus according to  claim 4 , wherein the supplemental attachment component comprises a first circular surface, a second circular surface, and exterior surface, the exterior surface extending between the first circular surface and the second circular surface. 
     
     
         7 . The mountable accessorizing apparatus according to  claim 6 , wherein the first circular surface has a first diameter that is larger than a second diameter of the second circular surface such that the exterior surface is tapered between the first circular surface and the second circular surface. 
     
     
         8 . The mountable accessorizing apparatus according to  claim 6 , wherein the first circular surface comprises display components. 
     
     
         9 . The mountable accessorizing apparatus according to  claim 8 , wherein the display components are one or more selected from the group comprising: a color, a pattern, and a texture. 
     
     
         10 . A mountable accessorizing apparatus configured to be received within a buttonhole of a garment, the apparatus comprising:
 a torus-like shaped body formed from a flexible material and configured so that the body may be adjusted to facilitate insertion in the buttonhole of the garment,   the body comprising a gap by which the torus-like shaped body is more easily shaped,   the torus-like shaped body comprising a first mounting surface and a second mounting surface, the first mounting surface mounted on a first edge surface of the buttonhole and the second mounting surface mounted on a second edge surface of the buttonhole,   a supplemental attachment component, wherein the supplemental attachment component comprises magnetic elements with magnetically charged surfaces so that the supplemental attachment component is attachable to the torus-like shaped body,   the supplemental attachment component comprising a first circular surface, a second circular surface, and exterior surface, the exterior surface extending between the first circular surface and the second circular surface, wherein the first circular surface has   a first diameter that is larger than a second diameter of the second circular surface such that the exterior surface is tapered between the first circular surface and the second circular surface, and the first circular surface comprises display components, the display components are one or more selected from the group comprising: a color, a pattern, and a texture.   
     
     
         11 . The mountable accessorizing apparatus according to  claim 10 , wherein the torus-like shaped body is compressible. 
     
     
         12 . The mountable accessorizing apparatus according to  claim 10 , wherein each of the first mounting surface and the second mounting surface include hook elements.
