Performance bed sheets

Abstract

A bed sheet is provided that includes a knitted performance fabric having a plurality of spaced apert ventilation ports. The knitted performance fabric has a gauge per square inch, grams per square meter, air permeability and material content that are pre-selected to provide the knitted performance fabric with one or more selected physical features.

         30 . A mattress covering, comprising:
 a panel extending from a first edge to an opposite second edge, the panel comprising opposite third and fourth edges that each extend between the first and second edges, wherein the panel comprises stitching extending about a perimeter of the panel.   
     
     
         31 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 30 , wherein the stitching extends entirely about the perimeter. 
     
     
         32 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 31 , wherein the stitching extends continuously about the perimeter. 
     
     
         33 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 30 , wherein the stitching is positioned adjacent to each of the edges. 
     
     
         34 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 30 , wherein the stitching is positioned inwardly from each of the edges. 
     
     
         35 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 30 , wherein the panel comprises rayon, polyester and spandex. 
     
     
         36 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 30 , wherein the panel has an air permeability between about 600 cubic feet per minute (cfm) and about 900 cfm. 
     
     
         37 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 30 , wherein the panel has a weight between about 75 and about 125 grams per square meter (gsm). 
     
     
         38 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 30 , wherein the panel has a denier between about 70 and about 120. 
     
     
         39 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 30 , wherein:
 the panel comprises rayon, polyester and spandex;   the panel has an air permeability between about 600 cubic feet per minute (cfm) and about 900 cfm;   the panel has a weight between about 75 and about 125 grams per square meter (gsm); and   the panel has a denier between about 70 and about 120.   
     
     
         40 . A mattress covering comprising:
 a panel extending from a first edge to an opposite second edge, the panel comprising opposite third and fourth edges that each extend between the first and second edges; and   a hem coupled to the panel,   wherein the mattress covering comprises stitching extending about a perimeter of the panel.   
     
     
         41 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 40 , wherein a lower surface of the hem is coupled to the first edge. 
     
     
         42 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 40 , wherein a lower surface of the hem is joined with the first edge by piping. 
     
     
         43 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 40 , wherein the panel comprises rayon, polyester and spandex. 
     
     
         44 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 40 , wherein the panel has an air permeability between about 600 cubic feet per minute (cfm) and about 900 cfm. 
     
     
         45 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 40 , wherein the panel has a weight between about 75 and about 125 grams per square meter (gsm). 
     
     
         46 . The mattress covering recited in  claim 40 , wherein the panel has a denier between about 70 and about 120.

 the mattress covering has a width of about 110 inches; and   the mattress covering has a length of about 106 inches.   
     
     
         49 . A mattress covering comprising:
 a panel extending from a first edge to an opposite second edge, the panel comprising opposite third and fourth edges that each extend between the first and second edges; and   a hem coupled to the panel,   wherein the panel comprises stitching entirely about a perimeter of the panel,   wherein the stitching is positioned inwardly from each of the second, third and fourth edges,   wherein a lower surface of the hem is joined with the first edge by piping,   wherein the panel comprises rayon, polyester and spandex,   wherein the panel has an air permeability between about 600 cubic feet per minute (cfm) and about 900 cfm,   wherein the panel has a weight between about 75 and about 125 grams per square meter (gsm),   wherein the panel has a denier between about 70 and about 120,   wherein the mattress covering has a width of about 110 inches, and   wherein the mattress covering has a length of about 106 inches.
