Abstract

An exercise system includes a barbell handle, a first clamp, and a second clamp. The barbell handle includes a first handle end and a second handle end opposite the first handle end. A central axis extends from the first handle end to the second handle end. The first clamp is configured to selectively secure a first dumbbell to the first handle end and prevent rotation of the first dumbbell about the central axis. The second clamp is configured to selectively secure a second dumbbell to the second handle end and prevent rotation of the second dumbbell about the central axis. The first clamp and the second clamp each include a first portion, a second portion selectively pivoting with respect to the first portion between a closed position and an open position, and a fastener selectively securing the first portion and the second portion in the closed position.

3 . The exercise system of claim 1 , wherein the fastener is a collar configured to extend around the barbell handle and portions of the first portion and the second portion.

4 . The exercise system of claim 1 , wherein the fastener of the first clamp prevents rotation of the first dumbbell about the central axis and the fastener of the second clamp prevents rotation of the second dumbbell about the central axis.

5 . The exercise system of claim 1 , wherein:
the second portion of the first clamp selectively pivots with respect to the first portion of the first clamp about a first pivot axis that intersects the central axis; and the second portion of the second clamp selectively pivots with respect to the first portion of the second clamp about a second pivot axis that intersects the central axis.

6 . The exercise system of claim 5 , wherein:
the first pivot axis and the central axis are perpendicular; and the second pivot axis and the central axis are perpendicular.

7 . The exercise system of claim 1 , wherein:
the first clamp comprises first geometric features spaced from one another to define rotational positions of the first clamp relative to the first handle end; and the second clamp comprises second geometric features spaced from one another to define rotational positions of the second clamp relative to the second handle end.

8 . The exercise system of claim 7 , wherein:
the first handle end comprises third geometric features configured to engage with the first geometric features; and the second handle end comprises fourth geometric features configured to engage with the second geometric features.

9 . An exercise system, comprising:
a handle comprising a first handle end and a second handle end opposite the first handle end, the handle defining a first axis extending from the first handle end to the second handle end; a first clamp selectively pivotable between an open configuration and a closed configuration, wherein pivoting the first clamp from the open configuration to the closed configuration engages the first handle end at least partially within the first clamp and defines a first cavity extending along a second axis perpendicular to the first axis; and a second clamp selectively pivotable between an open configuration and a closed configuration, wherein pivoting the second clamp from the open configuration to the closed configuration engages the second handle end at least partially within the second clamp and defines a second cavity extending along a third axis perpendicular to the first axis.

10 . The exercise system of claim 9 , wherein:
the first axis and the second axis intersect; and the first axis and the third axis intersect.

11 . The exercise system of claim 9 , wherein the handle extends along the first axis between the first handle end and the second handle end.

12 . The exercise system of claim 9 , wherein:
pivoting the first clamp from the open configuration to the closed configuration secures a first dumbbell handle within the first cavity; and pivoting the second clamp from the open configuration to the closed configuration secures a second dumbbell handle within the second cavity.

13 . The exercise system of claim 9 , wherein:
the first handle end is removable from the first clamp in the open configuration; and the second handle end is removable from the second clamp in the open configuration.

14 . The exercise system of claim 9 , further comprising:
a first fastener selectively securing the first clamp in the closed configuration; and a second fastener selectively securing the second clamp in the closed configuration.
