Oral pouch product

Abstract

An oral pouch product includes a wrapper and a filling material. The wrapper defines a cavity. The filling material is in the cavity. The filling material includes a dry mixture and a liquid mixture. The dry mixture includes a cellulosic material and a water-soluble filler. The liquid mixture includes an oil and liquid nicotine. The oil includes a triglyceride, a diglyceride, a monoglyceride, or any combination thereof. The liquid nicotine is dissolved in the oil. The filling material is free of water or includes water in an amount less than or equal to 5 weight percent.

We claim: 
     
         1 . An oral product comprising:
 a pouch defining an interior region; and   a filling material in the interior region, the filling material including,
 a non-tobacco cellulosic material, 
 a tobacco plant material, 
 a water-soluble filler, and 
 an oil including a triglyceride, a diglyceride, a monoglyceride, or any combination thereof, and 
 nicotine dissolved in the oil, 
   the filling material being free of water or including water in an amount less than or equal to 5 weight percent, and   the filling material either being free of propylene glycol or including propylene glycol in an amount less than or equal to 1 weight percent.   
     
     
         2 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the filling material includes the tobacco plant material in an amount less than or equal to 5 weight percent. 
     
     
         3 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the filling material is free of glycerin. 
     
     
         4 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the filling material is free of the propylene glycol. 
     
     
         5 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the filling material is free of water or includes. water in an amount less than or equal to 1 weight percent. 
     
     
         6 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the non-tobacco cellulosic material includes microcrystalline cellulose. 
     
     
         7 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the filling material includes the non-tobacco cellulosic material in an amount ranging from 10 weight percent to 80 weight percent. 
     
     
         8 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the oil is present in an amount ranging from 10 weight percent to 50 weight percent of the filling material. 
     
     
         9 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the oil includes the triglyceride. 
     
     
         10 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the water-soluble filler includes a sugar alcohol, a sugar, maltodextrin, a starch, a polysaccharide, or any combination thereof. 
     
     
         11 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the filling material further includes an emulsifier. 
     
     
         12 . The oral product of  claim 11 , wherein the emulsifier is present in an amount of less than or equal to 1 weight percent. 
     
     
         13 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the filling material further includes an antioxidant. 
     
     
         14 . The oral product of  claim 13 , wherein the antioxidant includes tocopherol, or a tocopherol derivative, ascorbic acid, an ascorbic acid derivative, tert-butylhydroquinone, or any combination thereof. 
     
     
         15 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the nicotine includes tobacco-derived nicotine. 
     
     
         16 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the nicotine includes synthetic nicotine. 
     
     
         17 . The oral product of  claim 1 , wherein the pouch includes polyurethane. 
     
     
         18 . The oral product of  claim 17 , wherein
 the pouch is seamless,   the pouch includes a fabric including,
 a plurality of nonwoven fibers including the polyurethane, and 
   the fabric has a basis weight ranging from 20 grams per square meter (gsm) to 30 gsm.   
     
     
         19 . An oral product comprising:
 a seamless pouch defining an interior region, the seamless pouch including, non-woven polyurethane fibers; and   a filling material in the interior region, the filling material including,
 microcrystalline cellulose, 
 a tobacco plant material, 
 a water-soluble filler, and 
 a triglyceride, and 
 liquid nicotine dissolved in the triglyceride, 
   the filling material being free of water or including water in an amount less than or equal to 5 weight percent, and   the filling material being free of glycerin and propylene glycol.   
     
     
         20 . An oral product comprising:
 a pouch defining an interior region; and   a filling material in the interior region, the filling material including,
 a non-tobacco cellulosic material in an amount ranging from 10 weight percent to 80 weight percent, 
 a tobacco plant material, 
 a water-soluble filler in an amount ranging from 10 weight percent to 50 weight percent, 
 a liquid mixture including,
 a triglyceride in an amount ranging from 10 weight percent to 50 weight percent, and 
 nicotine in an amount ranging from 0.1 weight percent to 1 weight percent, 
 
 an emulsifier in an amount less than or equal to 1 weight percent, and 
 an antioxidant, 
   the filling material being free of water or including water in an amount less than or equal to 5 weight percent,   the filling material either being free of propylene glycol or including propylene glycol in an amount less than or equal to 1 weight percent, and   the filling material either being free of glycerin or including glycerin in an amount less than or equal to 1 weight percent.
