Abstract
An article of footwear including a sole structure, a lower heel, and an outsole. The sole structure extends toward a forwardmost toe location of the article of footwear. The lower heel extends toward a rearmost heel location of the article of footwear and is movable relative to the sole structure. The outsole is movably coupled to one of the sole structure and the lower heel. The outsole includes at least one first traction enhancing component.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An article of footwear comprising:
a sole structure extending toward a forwardmost toe location of the article of footwear; a lower heel extending toward a rearmost heel location of the article of footwear and movable relative to the sole structure; and a first outsole movably coupled to one of the sole structure and the lower heel, the first sole includes at least one first traction enhancing component.
2 . The article of footwear of claim 1 , wherein the at least one first traction enhancing component includes a tread, a cleat, or a spike.
3 . The article of footwear of claim 1 , wherein the at least one first traction enhancing component includes a plurality of first traction enhancing components.
4 . The article of footwear of claim 1 , further comprising a second outsole movably coupled to the other of the sole structure and the lower heel, the second outsole including at least one second traction enhancing component.
5 . The article of footwear of claim 4 , wherein the at least one second traction enhancing component is different than the at least one first traction enhancing component.
6 . The article of footwear of claim 4 , wherein the at least one second traction enhancing component is the same as the at least one first traction enhancing component.
7 . The article of footwear of claim 4 , wherein the other of the sole structure and the lower heel includes a track and the second outsole includes a rail slidably received in the track.
8 . The article of footwear of claim 4 , wherein the at least one second traction enhancing component includes a plurality of second traction enhancing components.
9 . The article of footwear of claim 1 , wherein the one of the sole structure and the lower heel includes a track and the first outsole includes a rail slidably received in the track.
10 . The article of footwear of claim 1 , wherein the first outsole is movably coupled to the sole structure and includes an attachment member, and wherein the first outsole is movably coupled to the sole structure between a first position in which the attachment member is engage with the sole structure to couple first outsole to the sole structure and a second position in which the attachment member is disengaged from the sole structure to decouple the first outsole from the sole structure.
11 . The article of footwear of claim 1 , wherein the first outsole includes an actuator that is operable between a first state in which the first outsole is inhibited from moving relative to the one of the sole structure and the lower heel and a second state in which the first outsole is permitted to move relative to the one of the sole structure and the lower heel.
12 . An article of footwear comprising:
a sole structure extending toward a forwardmost toe location of the article of footwear; a heel assembly extending toward a rearmost heel location of the article of footwear and including a lower heel and an upper heel, the lower heel movable relative to the sole structure; and a first outsole movably coupled to the lower heel and including a plurality of first traction enhancing components.
13 . The article of footwear of claim 12 , wherein the plurality of first traction enhancing component include treads, cleats, spikes or a combination thereof.
14 . The article of footwear of claim 12 , further comprising a second outsole movably coupled to the sole structure and including a plurality of second traction enhancing components.
15 . The article of footwear of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of second traction enhancing components are different than the plurality of first traction enhancing components.
16 . The article of footwear of claim 14 , wherein the plurality of second traction enhancing components are the same as the plurality of first traction enhancing components.
17 . The article of footwear of claim 12 , wherein the lower heel includes a track and the first outsole includes a rail slidably received in the track.
18 . The article of footwear of claim 12 , wherein the upper heel is movable relative to the lower heel.
19 . The article of footwear of claim 12 , wherein the first outsole includes an actuator that is operable between a first state in which the first outsole is inhibited from moving relative to the lower heel and a second state in which the first outsole is permitted to move relative to the lower heel.
20 . An article of footwear comprising:
a sole structure extending toward a forwardmost toe location of the article of footwear; a heel assembly extending toward a rearmost heel location of the article of footwear and including a lower heel and an upper heel, the lower heel movable relative to the sole structure and the upper heel movable relative the lower heel; a first outsole movably coupled to the lower heel and including a plurality of first traction enhancing components; and a second outsole movably coupled to the sole structure and including a plurality of second traction enhancing components, wherein the first outsole includes a first actuator that is operable between a first state in which the first outsole is inhibited from moving relative to the lower heel and a second state in which the first outsole is permitted to move relative to the lower heel, and wherein the second outsole includes a second actuator that is operable between a third state in which the second outsole is inhibited from moving relative to the sole structure and a fourth state in which the second outsole is permitted to move relative to the sole structure.Cited by (0)
