Brewing Material Holder
Abstract
A container includes a receptacle and a cover. The receptacle includes a base and a sidewall. The base has an interior surface and a passageway in an interior area of the base. The passageway provides fluid communication from an interior of the receptacle to an exterior of the receptacle. The sidewall extends upward from the interior surface of the base. The cover is configured to sealingly engage with a top edge of the sidewall, and includes a cover opening. The container is configured to accept input fluid through the cover opening and to provide a corresponding outflow of fluid through the passageway. The passageway allows the outflow fluid to flow from the container while accommodating an outflow needle of a beverage brewer.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A brewing material holder, comprising:
a base; and a lid; wherein the base includes:
a sidewall, defining an interior space and having an open top end and an open bottom end; and
a partition arranged within the interior space of the sidewall, in contact with an interior surface of the sidewall between the open top end and the open bottom end, thereby dividing the interior space and defining an upper interior portion and a lower interior portion;
wherein the lid is configured to engage the open top end of the sidewall, and to accept input fluid through a lid opening; and wherein the sidewall is configured to provide a corresponding outflow of fluid through at least one sidewall opening.
2 . The holder of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the at least one sidewall opening is at least partially covered by a screen material.
3 . The holder of claim 1 , wherein the at least one sidewall opening is four sidewall openings.
4 . The holder of claim 3 , wherein points at which the partition is in contact with the interior surface of the sidewall define a cross shape of the partition.
5 . The holder of claim 1 , wherein the lower interior portion is configured to provide distance for the partition to avoid a lower nozzle of a beverage brewer.
6 . The holder of claim 1 , wherein the sidewall surrounds a periphery of the partition.
7 . The holder of claim 1 , wherein the partition is arranged to provide a bottom platform for the upper interior portion.
8 . The holder of claim 1 , wherein the upper interior portion is configured to hold a filter, and the partition is arranged to provide a bottom support for the upper interior portion.
9 . The holder of claim 1 , further comprising a filter that is configured to be held within the base.
10 . The holder of claim 9 , wherein the filter is a cup made of filter material, configured to receive and hold ground brewing material.
11 . The holder of claim 9 , wherein the open top end of the sidewall and the lid are configured to secure a rim of the filter at least partially arranged in the upper interior portion when the lid engages with the open top end of the sidewall.
12 . A brewing capsule, comprising:
holding means for receiving and holding beverage brewing material; and covering means for at least partially covering the holding means and for accepting input fluid; wherein the holding means includes:
a sidewall that defines an interior space and has an open top end and an open bottom end; and
partition means for dividing the interior space and defining an upper interior portion and a lower interior portion, arranged within the interior space of the sidewall in contact with an interior surface of the sidewall between the open top end and the open bottom end;
wherein the sidewall is configured to provide a corresponding outflow of fluid through at least one sidewall opening.
13 . The brewing capsule of claim 12 , wherein at least one of the at least one sidewall opening is at least partially covered by a screen material.
14 . The brewing capsule of claim 12 , wherein the at least one sidewall opening is four sidewall openings.
15 . The brewing capsule of claim 14 , wherein points at which the partition means is in contact with the interior surface of the sidewall define a cross shape of the partition means.
16 . The brewing capsule of claim 12 , wherein the lower interior portion provides distance for the partition means to avoid a lower nozzle of a beverage brewer.
17 . The brewing capsule of claim 12 , wherein the upper interior portion is configured to hold a filter, and the partition means provides a bottom support for the filter.
18 . The brewing capsule of claim 12 , further comprising a filter configured to be held within the upper interior portion.
19 . The brewing capsule of claim 18 , wherein the filter is a cup made of filter material, configured to receive and hold ground brewing material.
20 . The brewing capsule of claim 18 , wherein the open top end of the sidewall and the covering means are configured to cooperate to secure a rim of the filter at least partially arranged in the upper interior portion.Cited by (0)
