Package enclosure using single-layer crepe paper packaging materials and related package
Abstract
In an embodiment, a package can include a first creped paper packaging material, a second creped paper packaging material, and one or more shipping items. The first creped paper packaging material can include a first single-layer creped packaging paper. The second creped paper packaging material can include a second single-layer creped packaging paper. The first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material can define a respective material perimeter, with the second creped paper packaging material being attached to the first creped paper packaging material proximal their respective material perimeters to form a set of bound borders. The first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material can thereby be attached together in a manner to define a package enclosure. The one or more shipping items can be carried in the package enclosure.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed:
1 . A package enclosure, comprising:
a first creped paper packaging material comprising a first single-layer creped packaging paper; and a second creped paper packaging material comprising a second single-layer creped packaging paper, the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material defining a respective material perimeter, the second creped paper packaging material being attached to the first creped paper packaging material proximal their respective material perimeters to form a set of bound borders, the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material thereby being attached together in a manner to define the package enclosure.
2 . The package enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material are each made of a heavy gauge paper capable of withstanding packaging and delivery.
3 . The package enclosure of claim 2 , wherein the heavy gauge paper has a weight of 45-80 gsm (grams per square meter).
4 . The package enclosure of claim 2 , wherein the heavy gauge paper is a kraft paper.
5 . The package enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material each include a plurality of undulations formed therein.
6 . The package enclosure of claim 5 , wherein the plurality of undulations at least one of form an irregular pattern or extend in multiple directions.
7 . The package enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material each are at least partially coated with an adhesive on one side thereof.
8 . The package enclosure of claim 7 , wherein the adhesive is a heat sealant.
9 . The package enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material are attached proximal a respective perimeter thereof using at least one of an adhesive coating, a locally-applied glue, a tape, or an adhesive stripping.
10 . The package enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material each are able to expand to at least 150% of their original length.
11 . The package enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material each have an ability to stretch and provide an inherent level of cushioning, the level of cushioning being inversely proportional to an amount of stretching each of the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material undergoes.
12 . The package enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material define opposed sides of the packaging enclosure.
13 . The package enclosure of claim 1 , wherein the first creped paper packaging material, the second creped paper packaging material, and the set of bound borders together define an envelope configured to carry one or more shipping items therein.
14 . The package enclosure of claim 13 , wherein the envelope is configured to stretch around and thereby carry at least one shipping item with a depth of 3 inches or more.
15 . A package comprising:
a first creped paper packaging material comprising a first single-layer creped packaging paper; and a second creped paper packaging material comprising a second single-layer creped packaging paper, the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material defining a respective material perimeter, the second creped paper packaging material being attached to the first creped paper packaging material proximal their respective material perimeters to form a set of bound borders, the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material thereby being attached together in a manner to define a package enclosure; and one or more shipping items carried in the package enclosure.
16 . The package of claim 15 , wherein the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material are each made of a heavy gauge paper capable of withstanding packaging and delivery.
17 . The package of claim 16 , wherein the heavy gauge paper has a weight of 45-80 gsm (grams per square meter).
18 . The package of claim 15 , wherein the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material each include a plurality of undulations formed therein.
19 . The package of claim 15 , wherein the first creped paper packaging material and the second creped paper packaging material are attached proximal a respective perimeter thereof using at least one of an adhesive coating, a localized glue, a tape, or an adhesive stripping.
20 . The package of claim 15 , wherein at least one given shipping item has a depth of 3 inches or more.Cited by (0)
