Ventilated lower body garment

Abstract

A lower-body garment comprises a left leg portion, a right leg portion, an intermediate portion connecting the left leg portion to the right leg portion and two separators. The intermediate portion has a middle portion and a groin covering portion adapted to extend over a groin area of a wearer. The middle portion connects the left groin portion to the right groin portion. Each one of the two separators extends from a respective one of the left groin portion and the right groin portion of the groin covering portion so as to reach between a scrotum and the respective left leg and right leg of the wearer. Each one of the two separators has a 3D textile with an opening. In use, the opening of the 3D textile is stretched and compressed by a walking movement of the wearer, thereby creating air movement.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A lower-body garment comprising:
 a left leg portion for accommodating a left leg of a wearer;   a right leg portion for accommodating a right leg of the wearer;   an intermediate portion connecting the left leg portion to the right leg portion, the intermediate portion having:
 a middle portion; and 
 a groin covering portion adapted to extend over a groin area of a wearer, the groin covering portion having a left groin portion and a right groin portion, the middle portion connecting the left groin portion to the right groin portion; and 
   two separators, each one of the two separators extending from a respective one of the left groin portion and the right groin portion so as to reach between a scrotum and the respective left leg and right leg of the wearer, each one of the two separators having a 3D textile, the 3D textile having an opening,   whereas in use, the opening of the 3D textile is stretched and compressed by a walking movement of the wearer thereby creating air movement.   
     
     
         2 . The lower-body garment of  claim 1 , wherein the middle portion is made of a 2D textile. 
     
     
         3 . The lower-body garment of  claim 1 , wherein the middle portion comprises a second 3D textile. 
     
     
         4 . The lower-body garment of  claim 1 , wherein the groin covering portion comprises a second 3D textile. 
     
     
         5 . The lower-body garment of  claim 1 , wherein the intermediate portion comprises a second 3D textile. 
     
     
         6 . The lower-body garment of  claim 1 , wherein the 3D textile comprises a plurality of openings. 
     
     
         7 . The lower-body garment of  claim 1 , wherein the 3D textile is stretchable. 
     
     
         8 . The lower-body garment of  claim 2 , wherein the plurality of openings is oriented in a direction of a thickness of each one of the two separators. 
     
     
         9 . The lower-body garment of  claim 1 , wherein the two separators extend from the respective left and groin area in an arcuate profile. 
     
     
         10 . The lower-body garment of  claim 1 , wherein the 3D textile is made by a manufacturing process selected from the list containing 3D weaving, 3D knitting, 3D braiding and 3D printing. 
     
     
         11 . The lower-body garment of  claim 1 , wherein the 3D textile of each one of the two separators is sandwiched between an outer layer and an inner layer made of a 2D textile permeable to air. 
     
     
         12 . The lower-body garment of  claim 11 , wherein the opening of the 3D textile of each one of the two separators has a circular or elongated first cross-section in a plane parallel to a plane of the outer layer. 
     
     
         13 . The lower-body garment of  claim 11 , wherein the opening of the 3D textile of each one of the two separators has a second cross-section in a plane perpendicular to a plane of the outer layer, the second cross-section having a shape selected from the list consisting of a parallelepiped, a rectangle, a frusto-cone, and a venturi. 
     
     
         14 . The lower-body garment of  claim 1 , further comprising: a waist portion connected to both the left and the right leg portions; and
 an adjusting system for adjusting a tightness of the middle portion against the wearer, the adjusting system having:
 a left adjuster connected to a left side of the intermediate portion proximate a left junction between the left groin portion and the middle portion; and 
 a right adjuster connected to a right side of the intermediate portion proximate a right junction between the right groin portion and the middle portion, 
   wherein the left and the right adjusters are attachable to the waist portion.   
     
     
         15 . The lower-body garment of  claim 14 , further comprising a left attachment point and a right attachment point located on the waist portion, the left adjuster and the right adjuster being adjustable in length and connecting respectively to the left attachment point and the right attachment point through one of a push button, a hook and loop fastener or a hook and loop system. 
     
     
         16 . The lower-body garment of  claim 15 , comprising a plurality of the left attachment point and a plurality of the right attachment point, each one of the pluralities of the left attachment points and of the right attachment points being disposed symmetrically along the waist portion on a respective side of a sagittal plane at a distance from each other.
