Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a golf club head having a body with a striking face that faces a front direction, and a plurality of elements that extend from the body toward a rear direction and that form an aperture. The aperture has a boundary with a geometric shape that is symmetric about a centerline that extends from the body toward the rear direction. The elements may include a first portion and a second portion, one of which is positioned above the other. The aperture extends through the first and second portions. A first part of the boundary is formed by the upper portion, and a second part of the boundary is formed by the lower portion.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 20 . (canceled)

         21 . A golf club head comprising:
a body defining a centerline, the body comprising:
a striking face, the centerline extending in a direction perpendicular to the striking face,
a first portion extending rearward relative to the striking face,
a second portion extending rearward relative to the striking face and being positioned above the first portion when the golf club head is located on a ground surface at address, and
a first aperture extending through both the first portion and the second portion and defining a boundary, a first side of the boundary being formed by the first portion and a second side of the boundary being formed by the second portion, the centerline intersecting the first aperture.

22 . The golf club head of claim 21 , wherein the boundary defines a geometric shape that is symmetric about the centerline.

23 . The golf club head of claim 21 , wherein:
the second side comprises a first line and a second line; and the first line and the second line are angled toward one another so that the first line and the second line meet at an interface defined along the centerline.

24 . The golf club head of claim 21 , wherein:
the body comprises a second aperture and a third aperture; and the second aperture and the third aperture both extend through the first portion and the second portion.

25 . The golf club head of claim 24 , wherein the second aperture and the third aperture are arranged on opposing sides of the centerline.

26 . The golf club head of claim 25 , wherein the second aperture and the third aperture are symmetric about the centerline.

27 . The golf club head of claim 24 , wherein the centerline does not intersect the second aperture and the third aperture.

28 . The golf club head of claim 21 , wherein:
the first portion includes a first indexing line and the second portion includes a second indexing line; and the first indexing line and the second indexing line are both perpendicular to the striking face and co-linear.

29 . The golf club head of claim 28 , wherein the first aperture is arranged rearward of the second indexing line.

30 . The golf club head of claim 21 , wherein the first portion and the second portion are at least partially fixed relative to one another by at least one of: a fastener, a spacer, or an integrated support.

31 . The golf club head of claim 21 , wherein the first portion and the second portion are at least partially separated by a gap.

         32 . A golf club head comprising:
a body defining a centerline, the body comprising:
a striking face, the centerline extending in a direction perpendicular to the striking face,
a first portion extending rearward relative to the striking face,
a second portion extending rearward relative to the striking face and being positioned above the first portion when the golf club head is located on a ground surface at address,
a first aperture extending through both the first portion and the second portion and defining a boundary, a first side of the boundary being formed by the first portion and a second side of the boundary being formed by the second portion, and the boundary defining a geometric shape that is symmetric about the centerline,
a second aperture extending through the first portion and the second portion, and
a third aperture extending through the first portion and the second portion, wherein the second aperture and the third aperture are arranged on opposing sides of the centerline.

33 . The golf club head of claim 32 , wherein:
the second side of the boundary includes a first line and a second line; and the first line and the second line are angled toward one another so that the first line and the second line meet at an interfaces defined along the centerline.

34 . The golf club head of claim 32 , wherein the second aperture and the third aperture are symmetric about the centerline.

35 . The golf club head of claim 32 , wherein the centerline does not intersect the second aperture and the third aperture.

36 . The golf club head of claim 32 , wherein:
the first portion includes a first indexing line and the second portion includes a second indexing line; and the first indexing line and the second indexing line are both perpendicular to the striking face and co-linear.

37 . The golf club head of claim 36 , wherein the first aperture is arranged rearward of the second indexing line.
