Abstract
A package includes a container and a closure coupled to the container to control release of product therefrom. The closure includes a closure body coupled to the container and a flip-top cap coupled to the closure body and configured to pivot relative to the closure cap between a closed position and an opened position.

a container including a container body, a filler neck formed to include a mouth opening into an interior product-storage region defined by the container body and the filler neck, and a closure retainer coupled to the filler neck, the closure retainer including an annular closure-retainer ring and extending radially outward from the filler neck relative to a central axis of the container and a rotation-blocking tooth coupled to a radially outer end of the annular closure-retainer ring and extending radially outward from the annular closure-retainer ring relative to the central axis of the container,
a closure coupled to the filler neck of the container to control release of product therefrom, the closure including a closure body coupled to the container and formed to include a discharge aperture and a flip-top cap coupled to the closure body at a hinge and configured to pivot relative to the closure body between a closed position blocking access to the discharge aperture and an opened position allowing access to the discharge aperture,
wherein the closure body includes an outer body sidewall, an inner body sidewall spaced radially inward from the outer sidewall relative to a central axis of the closure body, a body top wall coupled to an upper end of both the outer body sidewall and the inner body sidewall, and a rotation-blocking tab coupled to a radially inner surface of the outer body sidewall and extending radially inward to engage with the rotation-blocking tooth of the container and block rotation of the closure relative to the container when the closure is installed on the container.
2 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the rotation-blocking tab is located entirely above a lower end of the outer body sidewall.
3 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the rotation-blocking tooth includes a ramped surface arranged at an angle to the annular closure-retainer ring, and a motion-blocking surface coupled to a distal end of the ramped surface and extending radially inward toward the annular closure-retainer ring.
4 . The package of claim 3 , wherein the motion-blocking surface is perpendicular to the central axis and is arranged along a plane that extends through the central axis.
5 . The package of claim 4 , wherein the rotation-blocking tab includes a second motion-blocking surface configured to engage with the motion-blocking surface of the rotation-blocking tooth when the closure is fully installed, the second motion-blocking surface is perpendicular to the central axis and is arranged along a plane that extends through the central axis.
6 . The package of claim 5 , wherein the rotation-blocking tab further includes a second ramped surface arranged at an angle to the outer body sidewall.
7 . The package of claim 5 , wherein the rotation-blocking tab further includes an inner ramped surface coupled to a first end of the second motion-blocking surface and an outer ramped surface coupled a second end of the second motion-blocking surface and spaced radially from the outer sidewall to provide a gap radially between the outer ramped surface and the outer sidewall.
8 . The package of claim 3 , wherein the angle is constant along a length of the ramped surface.

The package of claim 1 , wherein a first circumferential extent of the annular closure-retainer ring, greater than a circumferential length of the rotation-blocking tooth, is spaced a constant radial distance from the outer body sidewall, and a distal end of the rotation-blocking tooth is spaced a second radial distance from the outer sidewall, less than the constant radial distance, and
wherein the rotation-blocking tooth is offset circumferentially from the circumferential extent of the annular closure-retainer ring.
10 . The package of claim 9 , wherein a second circumferential extent of the outer body sidewall is aligned circumferentially with the circumferential extent of the annular closure-retainer ring when the closure is fully installed on the container, and the second circumferential extend of the outer body sidewall is deformable in a radially-inward direction toward the annular closure-retainer ring to cause movement of the rotation-blocking tab in a radially-outward direction away from the annular closure-retainer ring to disengage the rotation-blocking tab from the rotation-blocking tooth so that the closure can be uninstalled from the container.
11 . The package of claim 1 , wherein, when the closure is installed on the container, both the rotation-blocking tooth and the rotation-blocking tab are aligned circumferentially about the central axis with a portion of the hinge.
12 . The package of claim 11 , wherein the flip-top cap includes a cap sidewall, a cap top wall coupled to an upper end of the cap sidewall, and a retainer tab located diametrically opposite to the hinge and configured to engage a portion of the closure body to retain the flip-top cap in the closed position.
13 . The package of claim 12 , wherein the closure body includes a tab locking segment deformable in a radially-outward direction to engage with the retainer tab and block separation of the retainer tab from the closure body in the closed position.
14 . The package of claim 11 , wherein a first circumferential extent of the annular closure-retainer ring is offset from the rotation-blocking tooth, has a circumferential length greater than the rotation-blocking tooth, and has a distal end spaced a constant radial distance from central axis.
15 . The package of claim 14 , wherein a second circumferential extent of the annular closure-retainer ring is offset from the rotation-blocking tooth and the first circumferential extend, has a second circumferential length greater than the rotation-blocking tooth, and has a second distal end spaced the constant radial distance from central axis.
16 . The package of claim 15 , wherein the closure retainer further includes a second rotation-blocking tooth diametrically opposite to the rotation-blocking tooth and the hinge and circumferentially between the first circumferential extent and the second circumferential extent.
17 . The package of claim 16 , wherein the flip-top cap includes a cap sidewall, a cap top wall coupled to an upper end of the cap sidewall, and a retainer tab located diametrically opposite to the hinge and configured to engage a portion of the closure body to retain the flip-top cap in the closed position.
18 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the rotation-blocking tooth is included in a plurality of rotation-blocking teeth and the rotation-blocking tab is included in a plurality of rotation-blocking tabs.
19 . The package of claim 1 , wherein the closure body further includes body-sealing wall and the flip-top cap includes a cap-sealing wall configured to engage with the body-sealing wall in the closed position.
