Abstract
A shelter structure including a first post; at least a second post spaced from the first post; a roof assembly having a first side and a second side; a first adjustability mechanism for coupling a first corner of the second side of the roof assembly to the first post; a second adjustability mechanism for coupling a second corner of the second side of the roof assembly to the second post; wherein an angle of the roof assembly is adjustable relative to the first and second posts. Preferably, the shelter structure has only a first post and a second post and wherein the first side of the roof assembly is supported by a structure independent of the shelter structure.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A shelter structure comprising:
a first post; at least a second post spaced from the first post; a roof assembly having a first side and a second side; a first adjustability mechanism for coupling a first corner of the second side of the roof assembly to the first post; a second adjustability mechanism for coupling a second corner of the second side of the roof assembly to the second post; wherein an angle of the roof assembly is adjustable relative to the first and second posts.
2 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the shelter structure has only a first post and a second post and wherein the first side of the roof assembly is supported by a structure independent of the shelter structure.
3 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 1 , comprising a roof bracket and wall mount coupled to the first side of the roof assembly for supporting the first side of the roof assembly on a wall.
4 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the first and second adjustability mechanisms permit the adjustability of the angle of the roof assembly relative to the first and second posts.
5 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 1 , wherein:
the first adjustability mechanism for coupling the second side of the roof assembly to the first post comprises:
a first pivot post plate having a post tab, wherein the first pivot post plate is coupled to the first post;
a first pivot plate rotatable on the first post tab;
the second adjustability mechanism for coupling the second side of the roof assembly to the second post comprises:
a second pivot post plate having a post tab, wherein the second pivot post plate is coupled to the second post;
a second pivot plate rotatable on the post tab of the second pivot post.
6 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the roof assembly comprises at least a first side beam and a second side beam, and wherein:
a first end of the first beam is coupled to the first pivot plate; and a first end of the second beam is coupled to the second pivot plate.
7 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 6 , wherein the first end of the first beam is slidable onto the first pivot plate and the first end of the second beam is slidable onto the second pivot plate.
8 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 7 , wherein the roof assembly further comprises one or more center beams and one or more cross bars.
9 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the first pivot plate has an aperture for receiving the post tab of the first pivot post plate and the second pivot plate has an aperture for receiving the post tab of the second pivot post plate, wherein the shelter structure further comprises:
a first nut and washer combination for retaining the first pivot plate on the first post tab associated with the first pivot post plate; and a second nut and washer combination for retaining the second pivot plate on the post tab associated with the second pivot post plate.
10 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the roof assembly comprises at least a plurality of roof panels, a left side beam, a right side beam, one or more center beam, and one or more cross bars.
11 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 10 , comprising a roof bracket and wall mount, and wherein the shelter structure comprises one or more brackets for securing the roof bracket and wall mount to the left side beam, the right side beam, and the one or more center beams.
12 . A shelter structure comprising:
a first post; at least a second post spaced from the first post; a roof and at least a left side beam and a right side beam for supporting the roof; a first adjustability mechanism for coupling the left side beam to the first post; a second adjustability mechanism for coupling the right side beam to the second post; wherein an angle of the roof is adjustable relative to the first and second posts.
13 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 12 , wherein the shelter structure has only a first post and a second post and wherein the roof, the left side beam and the right side beam are also supported by a structure independent of the shelter structure.
14 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 12 , wherein:
the first adjustability mechanism comprises (i) a post tab coupled to the first post and (ii) a first pivot plate rotatable on the first post tab; the second adjustability mechanism comprises (i) a post tab coupled to the second post; and (ii) a second pivot plate rotatable on the post tab of the second pivot post; and a first end of the first beam is secured to the first pivot plate; and a first end of the second beam is secured to the second pivot plate.
15 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 13 , wherein:
the first adjustability mechanism comprises a first post tab and a first pivot plate rotatable on the first post tab; the second adjustability mechanism comprises a second post tab and a second pivot plate rotatable on the second post tab; and a first end of the first beam is slidable and secured onto the first pivot plate; and a first end of the second beam is slidable and secured onto the second pivot plate.
16 . A shelter structure comprising:
only a first post and a second post spaced from the first post; a roof and at least a left side beam and a right side beam for supporting the roof; a first post tab and a first pivot plate rotatable on the first post tab; a second post tab and a second pivot plate rotatable on the second post tab; and wherein: a first end of the first beam is slidable and secured onto the first pivot plate and a first end of the second beam is slidable and secured onto the second pivot plate; wherein an angle of the roof is adjustable relative to the first and second posts.
17 . The shelter structure as claimed in claim 16 , further comprising:
a first pivot post plate, coupled to the first post, on which is provided the first post tab; and a second pivot post plate, coupled to the second post, on which is provided the second post tab.Cited by (0)
