- 14 . (canceled)

. A cartridge assembly for an aerosol-generating system, the cartridge assembly comprising:
a mouthpiece portion comprising a first connection element; and a bottom portion comprising a second connection element, wherein the first connection element and the second connection element are configured to be irreversibly connectable to each other, wherein the first connection element comprises a recess and the second connection element comprises a protrusion, and wherein a gap is provided between a proximal portion of the recess and a proximal portion of the protrusion.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the mouthpiece portion and the bottom portion enclose a liquid reservoir.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the first connection element of the mouthpiece portion and the second connection element of the bottom portion provide a liquid-tight connection.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 ,
wherein the first connection element of the mouthpiece portion further comprises a first snap-fit element and the second connection element of the bottom portion further comprises a second snap-fit element, and wherein the first and the second snap-fit elements are configured to provide a snap-fit connection.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the first connection element of the mouthpiece portion and the second connection element of the bottom portion provide a connection preventing rotation of the mouthpiece portion and the bottom portion relative to each other.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the recess and the protrusion have matching shapes.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the recess and the protrusion are coaxially arranged.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the recess and the protrusion have a rounded trapezoidal cross-section.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the mouthpiece portion further comprises the recess at an inner surface of a sidewall of the mouthpiece.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the recess has a depth of between 0.15 millimeter and 0.50 millimeter.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the recess has a depth of between 0.15 millimeter and 0.30 millimeter.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 ,
wherein the recess comprises a distal surface and a proximal surface, and wherein at least one of the proximal and the distal surfaces are inclined.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 26 , wherein a length of the proximal surface is larger than a length of the distal surface.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 26 , wherein the distal surface is inclined with an inclination angle of between 10 degrees to 60 degrees.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 26 , wherein the distal surface is inclined with an inclination angle of between 20 degrees to 50 degrees.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 26 , wherein the distal surface is inclined with an inclination angle of between 30 degrees to 35 degrees.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the gap is a coaxial gap.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the bottom portion comprises a heater.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 32 , wherein the heater is a mesh heater.

. The cartridge assembly according to claim 15 , wherein the recess and the protrusion are arranged circumferentially around a longitudinal axis of the cartridge assembly.
