Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

         1 . A golf club comprising:
a shaft; a grip; and a golf club head, wherein the golf club head comprises:
a face cup, wherein the face cup comprises:
 a striking face; and
a face perimeter extending along a rearward portion of the face cup, wherein the face perimeter comprises:
an upper face perimeter portion; and
a lower face perimeter portion offset from the upper face perimeter portion by an offset distance; and

an aft body, wherein the aft body comprises a composite, wherein the aft body further comprises an aft perimeter extending along a faceward portion of the aft body to interface with at least a part of the face perimeter.

2 . The golf club of claim 1 , wherein at least a part of an exterior surface of the aft perimeter interfaces with at least a part of an interior surface of the face perimeter.

3 . The golf club of claim 1 , wherein the aft perimeter comprises:
one or more aft ribs extending faceward an aft rib distance; and one or more aft protrusions between at least one of the one or more aft ribs.

4 . The golf club of claim 3 , wherein the one or more aft protrusions extend less than half a distance of the one or more aft ribs.

5 . The golf club of claim 3 , wherein the one or more aft ribs extend to a forward edge of the aft perimeter.

6 . The golf club of claim 1 , wherein the offset distance is between about 0 mm and about 15 mm.

7 . The golf club of claim 1 , wherein the aft perimeter is recessed to interface with the face cup.

8 . The golf club of claim 1 , wherein the aft perimeter comprises a first angled surface angled with respect to an imaginary vertical plane at a rear edge of the face cup, wherein the first angled surface is angled at a first angle, and wherein the first angle is between about 10 degrees and about 80 degrees, as measured from the imaginary vertical plane as viewed from a toe-to-heel perspective rotated counterclockwise from the imaginary vertical plane.

         9 . A golf club comprising:
a shaft; a grip; and a golf club head, wherein the golf club head comprises:
a face cup, wherein the face cup comprises:
 a striking face; and
a face perimeter extending along a rearward portion of the face cup, wherein the face perimeter comprises:
an upper face perimeter portion; and
a lower face perimeter portion offset from the upper face perimeter portion by an offset distance; and

an aft body, wherein the aft body comprises a composite, wherein the aft body further comprises an aft perimeter extending along a faceward portion of the aft body, wherein at least a part of an exterior surface of the aft perimeter interfaces with at least a part of an interior surface of the face perimeter.

10 . The golf club of claim 9 , wherein the aft perimeter comprises:
one or more aft ribs extending faceward an aft rib distance; and one or more aft protrusions between at least one of the one or more aft ribs.

11 . The golf club of claim 10 , wherein the one or more aft protrusions extend less than half a distance of the one or more aft ribs.

12 . The golf club of claim 10 , wherein the one or more aft ribs extend to a forward edge of the aft perimeter.

13 . The golf club of claim 9 , wherein the aft perimeter is recessed to interface with the face cup.

14 . The golf club of claim 9 , wherein the aft perimeter comprises a first angled surface angled with respect to an imaginary vertical plane at a rear edge of the face cup, wherein the first angled surface is angled at a first angle, and wherein the first angle is between about 10 degrees and about 80 degrees, as measured from the imaginary vertical plane as viewed from a toe-to-heel perspective rotated counterclockwise from the imaginary vertical plane.

         15 . A golf club comprising:
a shaft; a grip; and a golf club head, wherein the golf club head comprises:
a face cup, wherein the face cup comprises:
 a striking face; and
 a face perimeter extending along a rearward portion of the face cup;

an aft body, wherein the aft body comprises a composite, wherein the aft body further comprises an aft perimeter extending along a faceward portion of the aft body to interface with at least a part of the face perimeter, and wherein the aft perimeter comprises:
one or more aft ribs extending faceward an aft rib distance; and
one or more aft protrusions between at least one of the one or more aft ribs.
