System and method using indices on a putter head to assess the slope of a putting surface

Abstract

A template measuring device is provided. The device includes a body, openings, and measurement markings. The measurement markings may each be positioned adjacent to one of the openings. The measurement markings may each correspond to a respective slope measurement. The openings may provide for a template to mark a head of a putter device with indices that may correspond to the slope measurements.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A template measuring device comprising:
 a body;   a plurality of openings; and   a respective plurality of measurement markings, each one of the plurality of measurement markings positioned adjacent to one of the plurality of openings;   wherein each of the respective plurality of measurement markings correspond to a respective plurality of slope measurements; and   wherein the plurality of openings provides a template to mark a head of a putter device with indices corresponding to the plurality of slope measurements.
