Abstract

Cyclopropyl substituted esters, syntheses thereof, compositions thereof, and use for the control of mites and ticks.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. A compound selected from the formula: ##STR6## wherein, n' is the odd integer 3, 5, 7 or 9; R' is alkylene of one to six carbon atoms or alkenylene of two to six carbon atoms;   p' is zero or one; and   A is arylene of six to 20 carbon atoms, optionally substituted by one or two groups selected from alkyl of one to 20 carbon atoms, halogen or nitro.   
     
     
       2. A compound according to claim 1 wherein n' is 3 or 5; R' is methylene or ethylene; and A is 1,4-phenylene, 2,7-naphthylene or 4,4'-biphenylene. 
     
     
       3. The compound, bis(3-cyclopropylpropyl) terephthalate, according to claim 2. 
     
     
       4. The compound, bis(3-cyclopropylpropyl)2,7-naphthalenedicarboxylate, according to claim 2. 
     
     
       5. The compound, bis(3-cyclopropylpropyl)biphenyl-4,4'-dicarboxylate, according to claim 2.
