Abstract
Compounds having the formula ##STR1## wherein n and m are, individually, 0 or 1, X is an anion, R' is hydrogen, methyl or phenyl and R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are, individually, hydrogen, alkyl, aryl, alkaryl or aralkyl, polymers thereof and methods for their production, are disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1. A vinyl addition homopolymer of a monomer having the formula ##STR15## wherein n and m are, individually, 0 or 1, X is an anion, R 1 is hydrogen, methyl or phenyl and R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are, individually, hydrogen, alkyl (C 1 -C 4 ), aryl (C 6 -C 10 ), aralkyl (C 7 -C 11 ) or alkaryl (C 7 -C 11 ), being colorless and free of non-amidine imino carboxyl, ester and amide groups, unreacted nitrile groups and unreacted polyamine.
2. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein m is 0.
3. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein m is 1.
4. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n and m are each 0, and R', R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are each hydrogen.
5. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n is 0, m is 1, and R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are each hydrogen.
6. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n and m are each 0, R 1 , R 3 and R 4 are each hydrogen and R 2 is methyl.
7. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n is 0, m is 1, R 1 , R 3 and R 4 are each hydrogen and R 2 is methyl.
8. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n is 1, m is 0 and R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 are each hydrogen.
9. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n is 1, m is 0, R 1 , R 3 and R 4 are each hydrogen and R 2 is methyl.
10. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein n and m are each 1, R 1 , R 3 and R 4 are each hydrogen and R 2 is methyl.
11. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein X is sulfate.
12. A homopolymer according to claim 1 wherein X is chloride.Cited by (0)
