1,3-Bis-aryl-2-oxyalkylated-glycerol ethers

Abstract

Oxyalkylated 1,3-bis-aryl-glycerol ethers of the formula <IMAGE> (I) where R and R1 are aromatic substituents, R2 is -CH3 or -C2H5, R3 is -H or -CH3, n is from 0 to 10 and m is from 8 to 50. The compounds of the formula I are used as emulsifiers, preferably in the preparation of print pastes.

We claim: 
     
       1. An oxyalkylated 1,3-bis-aryl-glycerol ether of the formula ##STR5## where R and R 1  are ##STR6## α-naphthyl or β-naphthyl and R 4 , R 5  and R 6  are --H, C 1  -C 12  -alkyl or ##STR7## R 2  is --CH 3  or --C 2  H 5 , R 3  is --H or --CH 3 , n is from 0 to 10 and m is from 8 to 50.
