Abstract

N-formylleurosine or a pharmaceutically effective salt is used in human therapy for treatment of lymphoma, leukemia or Hodgkins Disease.

We claim: 
     
       1. A method of treating leukemia, lymphomas or Hodgkin's disease in human patients comprising administering to a human patient a cytostatically effective amount of a compound effective amount of a compound of the formula I, ##STR2## wherein R is formyl, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. 
     
     
       2. The method defined in claim 1 wherein said compound is N-formyl-leurosine. 
     
     
       3. The method defined in claim 1 wherein said compound is N-formyl-leurosine monosulfate.
