Antifungal triazole ethanol derivatives

Abstract

Antifungal and plant growth regulatory compounds of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl or optionally substituted phenyl, and R2 is optionally substituted phenyl or benzyl.

We claim: 
     
       1. A compound of general formula (I) ##STR9## wherein R 1  is cycloalkyl of up to 6 carbon atoms, or halophenyl, and R 2  is halophenyl or an acid addition salt of copper, zinc, manganese or iron complex thereof. 
     
     
       2. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 1  is 2,4-diCl--C 6  H 3  -- and R 2  is p--F--C 6  H 4 . 
     
     
       3. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 1  is 2-chloro-phenyl and R 2  is 4-fluorophenyl. 
     
     
       4. A compound according to claim 1 wherein R 1  is 2-fluorophenyl and R 2  is 4-fluorophenyl. 
     
     
       5. A fungicidal composition consisting essentially of a fungicidally effective amount of a compound, salt or complex as claimed in claim 1, and a carrier or diluent. 
     
     
       6. A method of combatting fungal diseases in a plant, which method consists essentially of the step of applying to the plant, to seed of the plant or to the locus of the plant or seed a fungicidally effective amount of a compound, salt or complex according to claim 1.
