Abstract
There are described compounds of the formula <IMAGE> (I) in which R1 is hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl, R2 is hydrogen, C1-6 alkyl or C3-6 alkenyl, R3 is hydrogen or C1-6 alkyl, R4 is hydrogen or an N-protecting group, n is 2, 3, 4 or 5, and X is oxygen, sulphur or -CH2-, provided that when X is -CH2- n is 0; and salts thereof. The compounds in which R4 is hydrogen have pharmaceutical activity.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1. A compound of the formula ##STR12## in which R 1 is hydrogen or C 1-6 alkyl, R 2 is hydrogen, C 1-6 alkyl or C 3-6 alkenyl, R 3 is hydrogen or C 1-6 alkyl, R 4 is hydrogen, n is 2, 3, 4 or 5, and X is oxygen or sulphur; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
2. A compound according to claim 1, in which X is oxygen and n is 2, 3, 4 or 5.
3. A compound according to claim 2 in which R 1 is C 1-4 alkyl, R 2 is C 1-4 alkyl and R 3 is hydrogen.
4. N-{4-[3-(4-Acetyl-3-hydroxy-2-propylphenoxy)propoxy]phenyl}-1H-tetrazole-5-carboxamide.
5. A pharmaceutical formulation comprising a compound according to claim 1 or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt thereof associated with a carrier or diluent.
6. A method of treating a mammal, including a human, suffering from an immediate hypersensitivity disease, which comprises administering to the mammal an effective amount of a compound as defined in claim 1 or a pharmaceutically-acceptable salt thereof.
7. A compound of the formula ##STR13## in which R 1 is hydrogen or C 1-6 alkyl, R 2 is hydrogen, C 1-6 alkyl or C 3-6 alkenyl, R 3 is hydrogen or C 1-6 alkyl, R 4 is benzyl or 4-methoxybenzyl, n is 2, 3, 4 or 5, and X is oxygen or sulphur.Cited by (0)
