Abstract
1,3,5-Triazin-2-ylureidosulfonylbenzoic esters of the formula I ##STR1## where R 1 is methyl or ethyl, R 2 is n-propyl, i-propyl, 2-haloethyl or 2-methoxyethyl, and, when R 3 is methyl or methoxy, is methyl or ethyl, R 3 is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, methyl or methoxy, and the salts thereof which can be used in agriculture, are prepared and used as described.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1. A 1,3,5-triazin-2-ylureidosulfonylbenzoic ester of the formula I ##STR9## where R 1 is methyl or ethyl; R 2 is n-propyl, i-propyl, 2-haloethyl or 2-methoxyethyl and, when R 3 is methyl or methoxy, is methyl or ethyl; R 3 is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, methyl or methoxy, or its salts thereof which can be used in agriculture.
2. A herbicidal composition comprising a herbicidally effective amount of a 1,3,5-triazin-2-ylureidosulfonylbenzoic ester of the formula I as defined in claim 1 or its salt and carriers conventional for this purpose.
3. A method for controlling unwanted plant growth, which comprises exposing the plants and/or their habitat to a herbicidally effective amount of a 1,3, 5-triazin-2-ylureidosulfonylbenzoic ester of the formula I as defined in claim 1 or one of its salts.
4. A compound of claim 1, wherein R 2 is methyl or ethyl and R 3 is methyl or methoxy.
5. A compound of claim 1, wherein R 2 is n-propyl, i-propyl, 2-haloethyl or 2-methoxyethyl.
6. A compound of the formula I ##STR10## wherein R 1 is methyl or ethyl; R 2 is methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, i-propyl, 2-haloethyl or 2-methoxyethyl; and R 3 is methoxy; or an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal salt thereof.
7. A herbicidal composition comprising a herbicidally effective amount of a compound of claim 6 and an inert carrier therefor.
8. A method for controlling unwanted plant growth, comprising applying a herbicidally effective amount of a compound according to claim 6 to the said unwanted plants and/or their habitat.Cited by (0)
