Abstract
The present invention provides methods for inhibiting the growth of selected tumors utilizing recombinant viral vectors. Briefly, within one aspect of the present invention, a method for inhibiting the growth of a selected tumor is provided comprising the step of directly administering to a warm-blooded animal a vector construct which directs the expression of at least one anti-tumor agent, such that the growth of said tumor is inhibited. Representative examples of anti-tumor agents include immune activators and tumor proliferation inhibitors.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1. A method for inhibiting the growth of a selected solid tumor in a warm-blooded animal, comprising directly administering to said tumor a recombinant retroviral vector which directs the expression of gamma-interferon, such that the growth of said tumor is inhibited.
2. The method according to claim 1 to wherein said solid tumor is a melanoma.
3. The method according to claim 1 wherein said warm-blooded animal is a human.
4. The method according to claim 1, further comprising the step of directly administering to said solid-tumor a recombinant retroviral vector which directs the expression of interleukin-2.Cited by (0)
