Headphone device
Abstract
A headphone device and to a technique that makes the headphone device both easy to wear and comfortable when being worn. The headphone device is constructed in such a manner that the positional relationship between driver units and auricles does not change and includes one driver unit and a headband having flexibility and resilience for supporting the driver unit. The headband is arranged around the occipital region of the head when put on the head in such a manner that the driver unit is pressed onto an auricle by the resilience. The headband is provided with at least one engaging member having a support coming into contact with an upper side of a root of the auricle, and an auxiliary support coming into contact with a rear side of the root of the auricle.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A headphone comprising:
a pair of driver units; and
a head band including a pair of curve-shaped portions respectively provided for said pair of driver units, each of said curve-shaped portions having one end portion being connected respectively to a surface of each of said pair of driver units, and each of said curve-shaped portions having a respective other end portion extending downwardly behind a user's ear and including an auxiliary support extension portion extending downwardly from said other end portion and adapted to contact a rear side of a base of said user's ear.
2. The headphone according to claim 1 , wherein said auxiliary support extension portion extending downwardly from said other end portion of said curve-shaped portion has an opening formed therein.
3. The headphone according to claim 1 , wherein said curve-shaped portions extend from a front side of said user's ear to said rear side of said user's ear and extend around an upper side of said user's ear when said headphone is placed on said user.
4. A headphone comprising:
a pair of driver units;
a pair of casings for respectively accommodating said pair of driver units;
a pair of cushions respectively provided on said pair of casings; and
a pair of curve-shaped portions having flexibility and resilience and being respectively provided for said pair of driver units, each end portion of said pair of curve-shaped portions being connected to a respective outside surface of said pair of casings, and each of other end portions of said curve-shaped portions extending downwardly behind a user's ear and including an auxiliary support extension portion extending downwardly from said other end portion and adapted to contact a rear side of a base of said user's ear.
5. The headphone according to claim 4 , wherein said auxiliary support extension portion extending downwardly from said other end portion of said curve-shaped portion has an opening formed therein.
6. The headphone according to claim 4 , wherein said curve-shaped portions extend from a front side of said user's ear to said rear side of said user's ear and extend around an upper side of said user's ear when said headphone is fitted on said user.
7. The headphone according to claim 4 , wherein said curve-shaped portion further comprises a connecting portion for connecting said one end portion and said other end portion in a substantially U-shape form.
8. A headphone comprising:
a pair of driver units; and
a pair of curve-shaped portions respective provided for said pair of driver units, each of said curved-shaped portions having one end portion connected to a respective outside surface of said pair of driver units, and each of said curve-shaped portions having a respective other end portion extending upwardly behind an upper side of a user's ear and towards an inside of each of said driver units so as to support said headphone at said upper side of said user's ear.
9. The headphone according to claim 8 , wherein said curve-shaped portion comprises a connecting portion for connecting said one end portion and said other end portion in a substantially L-shape form.
10. The headphone according to claim 8 , wherein said other end portion extends from a rear side of said user's ear to a front side of said user's ear around an upper side of the ear when said headphone is fitted on the user.Cited by (0)
