Abstract
The invention provides phosphoribosyl transferase polypeptides also called adenine phosphoribosyl transferases, from Staphylococcus aureus and DNA (RNA) encoding such phosphoribosyl transferase polypeptides and methods for producing such polypeptides by recombinant techniques. Also provided are methods for utilizing phosphoribosyl transferase polypeptides to screen for antibacterial compounds.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. An isolated phosphoribosyl transferase polypeptide comprising SEQ ID NO:2.
2. A composition comprising the isolated polypeptide of claim 1 and a carrier.
3. The isolated polypeptide of claim 1 , wherein the isolated polypeptide comprises a heterologous amino acid sequence fused to SEQ ID NO:2.
4. A composition comprising the isolated polypeptide of claim 3 and a carrier.
5. The isolated polypeptide of claim 1 , wherein the isolated polypeptide consists of SEQ ID NO:2.
6. A composition comprising the isolated polypeptide of claim 5 and a carrier.
7. An isolated polypeptide comprising at least 50 consecutive amino acids of SEQ ID NO:2.
8. The isolated polypeptide of claim 7 , wherein the isolated polypeptide comprises a heterologous amino acid sequence fused to the at least 50 consecutive amino acids of SEQ ID NO:2.
9. An isolated polypeptide comprising at least 30 consecutive amino acids of SEQ ID NO:2.
10. The isolated polypeptide of claim 9 , wherein the isolated polypeptide comprises a heterologous amino acid sequence fused to the at least 30 consecutive amino acids of SEQ ID NO:2.Cited by (0)
