Abstract
Method for the isolation and characterization of a 140,000 dalton cell surface glycoprotein with the properties expected of a fibronectin receptor is described.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. An antibody that specifically binds to a cell surface glycoprotein, wherein the glycoprotein:
a. is a human cell surface glycoprotein;
b. has an apparent molecular weight of about 140,000 Daltons when measured by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis on a 7.5% gel under reducing conditions;
c. has an apparent molecular weight of about 140,000 Daltons and 120,000 Daltons when measured by SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis on a 7.5% gel under non-reducing conditions; and
d. specifically binds with the cell attachment site in fibronectin, and is elutable from the cell attachment site of fibrornectin by contacting with a peptide consisting essentially of the sequence GLY-ARG-GLY-ASP-SER-PRO.Cited by (0)
