Elevator information communication system

Abstract

An elevator information communication system in which communication cables are reduced in number with a simple configuration to make it possible to efficiently perform at a low cost can be obtained. The elevator information communication system includes a notification device arranged in the elevator system, an information input device for forming notification data to the notification device to input the notification data, and an elevator control device connected to the notification device to output a notification command and having a relay unit connected to the information input device to relay the notification data input from the information input device to the notification device.

What is claimed is:  
     
       1. An elevator information communication system comprising: 
       a notification device in an elevator system for supplying information to an elevator user;  
       an information input device for supplying notification data for to the notification device for supplying the information to the elevator user; and  
       an elevator control device connected to the notification device and outputting notification commands to the notification device for controlling the elevator system and having  
       relay means connected to the information input device to relay the notification data received from the information input device to the notification device,  
       a switch connected between the relay means and the notification device for controlling transmission of the notification commands and notification data to the notification device, and  
       command means connected to the switch, receiving the notification commands, and interrupting the switch, wherein, if a notification command is received by the command means when notification data is being transmitted to the notification device, the command means interrupts transmission of the notification data by the switch, the notification command is transmitted through the switch and command means, and, thereafter, transmission of the notification data resumes.  
     
     
       2. The elevator information communication system according to  claim 1 , including a plurality of notification devices and a single control system cable connecting the notification devices to the elevator control device whereby the information input device can selectively communicate with the respective notification devices through a single transmission cable. 
     
     
       3. The elevator information communication system according to  claim 2 , wherein each notification device includes identification means for identifying notification data and notification commands directed to the respective notification device and display means for displaying the notification data. 
     
     
       4. The elevator information communication system according to  claim 1  wherein 
       the notification device includes reply means for sending a resending request to the information input device when the notification device detects an abnormal communication received from the information input device, and  
       the information input device includes resending means, responding to a resending request from the notification device, for resending to the notification device a communication previously sent.  
     
     
       5. The elevator information communication system according to  claim 1  wherein, 
       the information input device includes scanning means for sending an inquiry to the notification device to determine whether the notification device is operative, and  
       the notification device includes response means for sending a check response to the input information device in response to an inquiry.  
     
     
       6. The elevator information communication system according to  claim 1 , wherein the information input device includes: 
       recording means for recording number of notification devices connected to the information input device; and  
       re-output means, responsive to the recording means, for again outputting notification data previously output, to a notification device newly connected to the information input device, wherein the scanning means detects connection of the new notification device to the information input device and updates the recording means.  
     
     
       7. An elevator information communication system comprising: 
       a notification device in an elevator system for supplying information to an elevator user;  
       an information input device for supplying notification data to the notification device for supplying the information to the elevator user; and  
       an elevator control device connected to the notification device and outputting notification commands to the notification device for controlling the elevator system and having  
       relay means connected to the information input device to relay the notification data received from the information input device to the notification device, and dividing the notification data into a plurality of packets, and  
       a switch connected between the relay means and the notification device and receiving the notification commands, for controlling transmission of the notification commands and the notification data to the notification device, wherein,  
       if a notification command is received by the switch when a packet of notification data is being transmitted to the notification device, transmission of the packet is interrupted and the notification command is transmitted, and  
       the notification device includes restoration means for combining the plurality of packets of notification data to reproduce the notification data before division into the plurality of packets.  
     
     
       8. The elevator information communication system according to  claim 7 , including a plurality of notification devices and a single control system cable connecting the notification devices to the elevator control device whereby the information input device can selectively communicate with the respective notification devices through a single transmission cable. 
     
     
       9. The elevator information communication system according to  claim 8 , wherein each notification device includes the restoration means, identification means for identifying notification data and notification commands directed to the respective notification device, and display means for displaying the notification data. 
     
     
       10. The elevator information communication system according to  claim 7  wherein 
       the notification device includes reply means for sending a resending request to the information input device when the notification device detects an abnormal communication received from the information input device, and  
       the information input device includes resending means, responding to a resending request from the notification device, for resending to the notification device a communication previously sent.  
     
     
       11. The elevator information communication system according to  claim 7  wherein, 
       the information input device includes scanning means for sending an inquiry to the notification device to determine whether the notification device is operative, and  
       the notification device includes response means for sending a check response to the input information device in response to an inquiry.  
     
     
       12. The elevator information communication system according to  claim 7 , wherein the information input device includes: 
       recording means for recording number of notification devices connected to the information input device; and  
       re-output means, responsive to the recording means, for again outputting notification data previously output, to a notification device newly connected to the information input device, wherein the scanning means detects connection of the new notification device to the information input device and updates the recording means.
