Abstract

Different probes each having a specific base sequence are immobilized to each of independent areas formed on the surface of a substrate, complementary polynucleotides in a sample solution are hybridized to the probes, and each of the independent areas on the substrate is heated and then cooled in sequence, and hence the solution is recovered to extract different polynucleotides separately corresponding to individual probes.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

       1. A cell components recovering apparatus comprising:
       a substrate being disposed in a separation cell, wherein sample solution containing cells is supplied on a surface of the substrate, the substrate having a plurality of independent areas formed on its surface;
       capturing means for capturing each of the cells one by one separately on each of the plurality of independent areas; and
       temperature control means for heating the surface of the substrate at one area of the plurality of independent areas to a predetermined temperature to destroy the cell captured at said one area to liberate cell components from the cell captured at said one area.

       2. A cell component recovering apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the captured cell is a white blood cell.

       3. A cell component recovering apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the capturing means comprises means for applying an alternating field onto the surface of the substrate.

       4. A cell components recovering apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising means for applying a DC field onto a surface of said one area in a solution which contains no polynucleotide and has a pH value of 4 or lower, to attract nucleotide components to the surface of the one of the identified positions.

       5. A cell components recovering apparatus comprising:
       a substrate being disposed in a separation cell, wherein sample solution containing cells is supplied on a surface of the substrate, the substrate having a plurality of independent areas formed on its surface;
       capturing means for capturing each of the cells one by one separately on each of the plurality of independent areas;
       means for identifying a position of one area of said plurality of areas where a cell to be destroyed is present; and
       temperature control means for heating the surface of the substrate at said one area to a predetermined temperature to destroy the cell captured therein to liberate cell components from the cell captured therein into the separation cell.

       6. A cell component recovering apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the captured cell is a white blood cell.

       7. A cell component recovering apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein the capturing means comprises means for applying an alternating field onto the surface of the substrate.

       8. A cell component recovering apparatus according to claim 5 , further comprising means for applying a DC field onto a surface of said one area in a solution which contains no polynucleotide and has a pH value of 4 or lower, to attract nucleotide components to the surface of the one of the identified positions.

       9. A cell components recovering apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein by introducing a washing solution, the apparatus enables liberated cell components from the cell captured in said one area to be recovered while cells in areas other than said one area remain on the substrate,
       and wherein said temperature control means individually heats different areas of said plurality of areas so as to enable recovery of cell components from all of said plurality of areas.

       10. A cell component recovering apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein the captured cell is a white blood cell.

       11. A cell component recovering apparatus according to claim 9 , wherein the capturing means comprises means for applying an alternating field onto the surface of the substrate.

       12. A cell components recovering apparatus according to claim 9 , further comprising means for applying a DC field onto a surface of said one area in a solution which contains no polynucleotide and has a pH value of 4 or lower, to attract nucleotide components to the surface of the one of the identified positions.

       13. A cell components recovering apparatus according to claim 5 , wherein by introducing a washing solution, the apparatus enables liberated cell components from the cell captured in said one area to be recovered while cells in areas other than said one area remain on the substrate,
       and wherein said temperature control means individually heats different areas of said plurality of areas so as to enable recovery of cell components from all of said plurality of areas.

       14. A cell component recovering apparatus according to claim 13 , wherein the captured cell is a white blood cell.
