3. The enclosure of claim 2 , wherein said first and said second sets of bulkhead ports include a selective plurality of outgoing fiber drops extending therethrough.
4. The enclosure of claim 2 , wherein said first cover member interchangeably hinges from a right side to a left side opposite said right side of said enclosure base.
5. The enclosure of claim 2 , wherein a select number of said adapter housings each have a connector coupler mounted therein.
6. A convertible fiber splice enclosure comprising:
a first enclosure base;
a second enclosure base coupled with said first enclosure base;
a first cover member selectively sealingly engaged with an exterior side of one of said first enclosure base and said second enclosure base;
a second cover member selectively sealingly engaged with an exterior side of another of said first enclosure base and said second enclosure base; and,
at least one of said first and said second cover members include selectively blocked ports for receiving associated adapter housings therethrough, wherein said adapter housings extend from an exterior side to an interior side of the fiber splice enclosure.
7. The enclosure of claim 6 , wherein at least one of said first enclosure base and said second enclosure base includes a bulkhead at one end having a plurality of selectively removable webs defining a series of ports therein for selectively receiving incoming feed cables therethrough.
8. The enclosure of claim 6 , wherein said adapter housings include selectively removable protective caps thereon.
9. The enclosure of claim 6 , wherein said adapter housings selectively receive associated hardened connectors, said associated hardened connectors include a portion for mating with said associated adapter housings.
10. The enclosure of claim 9 , wherein said associated hardened connectors include a fiber drop wire extending therefrom.
11. The enclosure of claim 6 , wherein said ports include at least one flat side for preventing relative rotation between said adapter housings therein.
12. The enclosure of claim 11 , wherein said ports include a recessed ring, said recessed ring includes an o-ring retained therein forming a seal between said adapter housings and said at least one of said first cover member and said second cover member.
13. The enclosure of claim 6 , wherein:
said first cover member and said one of said first enclosure base and said second enclosure base define a feed chamber therebetween; and,
said second cover member and said another of said first enclosure base and said second enclosure base define a drop chamber therebetween.
14. A convertible fiber splice enclosure comprising:
a first enclosure base;
a second enclosure base coupled with said first enclosure base;
a first cover member selectively sealingly engaged with an exterior side of one of said first enclosure base and said second enclosure base;
a second cover member selectively sealingly engaged with an exterior side of another of said first enclosure base and said second enclosure base;
at least one of said first and said second cover members include selectively blocked ports for receiving associated adapter housings therethrough;
said first cover member and said one of said first enclosure base and said second enclosure base define a feed chamber therebetween;
said second cover member and said another of said first enclosure base and said second enclosure base define a drop chamber therebetween; and,
said first enclosure base and said second enclosure base include a window therebetween for providing fluid communication between said feed chamber and said drop chamber.
15. A convertible fiber splice enclosure comprising:
at least one elongate enclosure base;
a first cover member selectively sealingly engaged with at least one side of said at least one enclosure base;
a first bulkhead defined by said at least one enclosure base and having a first plurality of spaced apart selectively removable webs defining a first set of ports therein;
a second bulkhead opposed to said first bulkhead and having a second plurality of spaced apart selectively removable webs defining a second set of ports therein;
a plurality of selectively blocked ports formed on said first cover member for receiving adapter housings for connecting to outgoing fiber cables;
said elongate enclosure base defines a longitudinal axis therethrough;
said first set of bulkhead ports are adapted to receive an associated first cable into said enclosure along a first insertion axis;
said second set of bulkhead ports are adapted to receive an associated second cable into said enclosure along a second insertion axis;
