Abstract

A console for an RFID edge server can include a graphical interface to receive ALE filer information such that the graphical interface allows the selection ALE filters on an RFID edge server.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1. A system, comprising
 a radio frequency identification (RFID) edge server that is connected to one or more RFID reader devices, each RFID reader device including an antenna to read data on RFID tags, wherein said one or more RFID reader devices provide said data to the RFID edge server; and
 a console to manage the RFID edge server, said console including a graphical interface that displays a set of application-level event (ALE) filters associated with the one or more RFID reader devices and allows selection of said ALE filters on the RFID edge server, wherein when the selection of an ALE filter is received on said graphical interface, the RFID edge server applies the selected ALE filter to the antenna of the one or more RFID reader devices such that only a subset of the data that matches said filter is provided to the RFID edge server;
 wherein observers of the selected ALE filter receive data from any antenna that references said selected ALE filter; and
 wherein the console displays a list of available ALE filters when a particular RFID reader device is selected on said graphical interface.

       2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the graphical interface displays the ALE filters in a filter chain.

       3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the graphical interface allows repositioning of said ALE filters in the filter chain.

       4. The system of claim 1 , wherein a plurality of the ALE filters are associated with a particular RFID reader device.

       5. A computer implemented method, comprising:
 reading a set of data by using an antenna of one or more radio frequency identification (RFID) reader devices connected to an RFID edge server, wherein the one or more RFID reader devices provide said data to the RFID edge server;
 rendering a graphical interface to manage the RFID edge server, wherein said graphical interface displays a set of application-level event (ALE) filters associated with the one or more RFID reader devices and allows selection of said ALE filters;
 receiving a selection of at least one ALE filter on said graphical interface; and
 applying the selected ALE filter to the antenna of the one or more RFID reader devices such that only a subset of the data that matches said filter is provided to the RFID edge server; wherein observers of the selected ALE filter receive data from any antenna that references said selected ALE filter; and
 wherein the graphical user interface displays a list of available ALE filters when a particular RFID reader device is selected.

       6. The computer implemented method of claim 5 , wherein the graphical interface displays the ALE filters in a filter chain.

       7. The computer implemented method of claim 6 , wherein the graphical interface allows the repositioning of said ALE filters in the filter chain.

       8. The computer implemented method of claim 5 , wherein a plurality of the ALE filters are associated with a particular RFID reader device.

       9. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more sequences of instructions, said instructions, when executed by one or more processors, causing the one or more processors to perform the steps of:
 reading a set of data by using an antenna of one or more radio frequency identification (RFID) reader devices connected to an RFID edge server, wherein the one or more RFID reader devices provide said data to the RFID edge server;
 rendering a graphical interface to manage the RFID edge server, wherein said graphical interface displays a set of application-level event (ALE) filters associated with the one or more RFID reader devices and allows selection of said ALE filters;
 receiving a selection of at least one ALE filter on said graphical interface; and
 applying the selected ALE filter to the antenna of the one or more RFID reader devices such that only a subset of the data that matches said filter is provided to the RFID edge server; wherein observers of the selected ALE filter receive data from any antenna that references said selected ALE filter; and
 wherein the graphical interface displays a list of available ALE filters when a particular RFID reader device is selected.

       10. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein the graphical interface displays the ALE filters in a filter chain.

       11. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 10 , wherein the graphical interface allows repositioning of said ALE filters in the filter chain.

       12. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 9 , wherein a plurality of the ALE filters are associated with a particular RFID reader device.
