Abstract

A retainer comprises a roller retaining click which is bent from an inner diameter edge of a rib portion toward the inside in an axial direction and extends so as to protrude and positioned between adjacent rollers. A part of the retainer other than the roller retaining click is hardened by high-frequency quenching and high-frequency tempering.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1. A roller apparatus comprising:
 a plurality of rollers; and
 a retainer, wherein:
said retainer includes a circular part having a diameter larger than a pitch circle diameter of a roller arrangement, a rib portion protruding from both sides of the circular part in an axial direction toward an inner diameter side, a plurality of pockets formed in said circular part so as to be arranged in a circumferential direction between which a pillar part is formed so as to contain said rollers, retaining means for preventing said rollers from escaping to the inner diameter side of the retainer, wherein the rollers are configured to directly abut an outer diameter face of a shaft and also directly abut an inner diameter face of a housing,
said retaining means includes a roller-retaining click which is bent from an inner diameter edge of said rib portion inwards in the axial direction and extends between adjacent rollers, and
a part of said retainer, other than said roller-retaining click, is hardened by high-frequency quenching and high-frequency tempering.

       2. The roller apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said retainer contains 0.15 to 1.10% by weight of carbon.

       3. The roller apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein hardness of said roller-retaining click is not more than HV400.

       4. A roller apparatus comprising:
 a plurality of rollers; and
 a retainer, wherein:
said retainer includes a circular part having a diameter larger than a pitch circle diameter of a roller arrangement, a rib portion protruding from both sides of the circular part in an axial direction toward an inner diameter side, a plurality of pockets formed in said circular part so as to be arranged in a circumferential direction between which a pillar part is formed so as to contain said rollers, retaining means for preventing said rollers from escaping to the inner diameter side of the retainer, wherein the rollers are configured to directly abut an outer diameter face of a shaft and also directly abut an inner diameter face of a housing,
said retaining means includes a roller-retaining click which is bent from an inner diameter edge of said rib portion inwards in the axial direction and extends between adjacent rollers, and
said retainer is entirely hardened by bright quenching and tempering and then said roller-retaining click is annealed to lower relatively its hardness.

       5. The roller apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein said retainer contains 0.15 to 1.10% by weight of carbon.

       6. The roller apparatus according to claim 4 , wherein hardness of said roller-retaining click is not more than HV400.

       7. A roller apparatus comprising:
 a plurality of rollers; and
 a retainer, wherein:
said retainer includes a circular part having a diameter larger than a pitch circle diameter of a roller arrangement, a rib portion protruding from both sides of the circular part in an axial direction toward an inner diameter side, a plurality of pockets formed in said circular part so as to be arranged in a circumferential direction between which a pillar part is formed so as to contain said rollers, retaining means for preventing said rollers from escaping to the inner diameter side of the retainer, wherein the rollers are configured to directly abut an outer diameter face of a shaft and also directly abut an inner diameter face of a housing,
said retaining means includes a roller-retaining click which is bent from an inner diameter edge of said rib portion inwards in the axial direction and extends between adjacent rollers, and
said pocket includes a large-width part having a width in the circumferential direction that is relatively large and a small-width part having a width in the circumferential direction that is relatively small.

       8. The roller apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein, when a length of said large-width part in the axial direction is LW, and a length of said small-width part in the axial direction is LN, a dimensional relationship such that 0.7 is less than or equal to LN/LW which is less than or equal to 1.3 is satisfied.

       9. The roller apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein a plurality of small-width parts is provided at a plurality of positions so as to sandwich said large-width part.

       10. The roller apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein said large-diameter part is positioned in a center of said pocket in the axial direction and said small-width part is positioned at both ends of the pocket in the axial direction.

       11. The roller apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein a bending angle between said roller-retaining click and said rib portion is 30 to 90 degrees.

       12. The roller apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein a length of said roller-retaining click is set to an extent that the length covers a chamfered part of said roller arrangement.
