Abstract
A method of controlling pests in crops of transgenic useful plants or propagation material thereof, characterized in that a pesticidal composition comprising a macrolide compound in free form or in agrochemically useful salt form as active ingredient and at least one auxiliary is applied to the pests or their environment.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedThe invention claimed is:
1. A method of controlling pests in crops of transgenic useful plants or propagation material thereof, characterized in that a pesticidal composition comprising a macrolide compound in free form or in agrochemically useful salt form as active ingredient and at least one auxiliary is applied to the pests or their environment, wherein the marcrolide compound is abamectin or emamectin, and wherein the pesticidal composition is effective to control pests in crops of transgenic useful plants selected from maize, cereals, soya beans, tomatoes, cotton, potatoes, rice and mustard.
2. The method according to claim 1 , wherein abamectin is employed.
3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein emamectin is employed.
4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the transgenic plant is treated.
5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the transgenic crop of useful plants is maize.
6. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the transgenic crop of useful plants is soya beans.
7. The method according to claim 4 , wherein the propagation material of the transgenic useful plant is treated.
8. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the active ingredient is abamectin in free form.
9. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the active ingredient employed is emamectin in free form or in salt form.
10. The method according to claim 7 , wherein the propagation material is seedlings, rhizomes, nursery plants, cuttings or seed.
11. The method as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the pests are representatives of the order Lepidoptera.Cited by (0)
