Reinforcing method and arrangement for foldable furniture
Abstract
A reinforcing arrangement for reinforcing a joint portion between two support units of a foldable furniture object, comprising a first mounting unit which comprises a first mounting body and a first guiding member outwardly protruded from the first mounting body mounting on the first support unit; a second mounting unit which comprises a second mounting body and a second guiding member or a second guiding groove complimentary to and moveably engaging with the first mounting unit to define a maximum extending angle of movement, thereby the first and second support unit are guided to lock into position at an unfolded position at the maximum extending angle and to unlock at a folded position; and a connecting unit pivotally connecting the first support unit and the second support unit between which the two mounting units are positioned, thereby the joint portion is reinforced.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A foldable furniture, comprising:
a top unit;
a foldable frame assembly which comprises a frame support unit having a frame connecting hole, and a leg support unit having a leg connecting hole, wherein said top unit is supported by said frame support unit; and
a reinforcing arrangement coupled between said frame support unit and said leg support unit for enabling said leg support unit to be pivotally moved with respect to said top unit, wherein said reinforcing arrangement comprises:
a first reinforcing unit which comprises a first mounting body having a first mounting hole, and a first guiding member outwardly protruded from said first mounting body, wherein said first mounting body is coupled at a first side of said leg support unit at a position that said first mounting hole is coaxially aligned with said leg connecting hole of said leg support unit;
a second reinforcing unit which comprises a second mounting body having a second mounting hole, and a guiding groove formed at said second mounting body, wherein said second mounting body is coupled at said frame support unit at a position that said second mounting hole is coaxially aligned with said frame connecting hole of said frame support unit; and
a connecting unit extending through said leg connecting hole, said first mounting hole, said frame connecting hole, and said second mounting hole to couple said first and second reinforcing units with each other at a position that said first guiding member is movably received in said guiding groove to enable said leg support unit to be pivotally moved with respect to said top unit and to restrict said leg support to be pivotally moved between a folded position and an unfolded position.
2. The foldable furniture, as recited in claim 1 , wherein said second mounting hole is formed at a center of said second mounting body, wherein said guiding groove is coaxially aligned with said second mounting hole and defines a curvature circumferentially and partially surrounding said second mounting hole of said second mounting body.
3. The foldable furniture, as recited in claim 2 , wherein said first mounting body further has an extended mounting portion peripherally extended from said first mounting body to couple at said first side of said leg support unit so as to increase a mounting area between said first mounting body and said leg support unit.
4. The foldable furniture, as recited in claim 1 , wherein said top unit is a chair seat unit.
5. The foldable furniture, as recited in claim 3 , wherein said top unit is a chair seat unit.
6. The foldable furniture, as recited in claim 1 , wherein said top unit is a table top unit.
7. The foldable furniture, as recited in claim 3 , wherein said top unit is a table top unit.
8. A reinforcing arrangement for a foldable furniture which comprises a frame support unit having a frame connecting hole and a leg support unit having a leg connecting hole, wherein said reinforcing arrangement comprises:
a first reinforcing unit which comprises a first mounting body having a first mounting hole, and a first guiding member outwardly protruded from said first mounting body, wherein said first mounting body is arranged for coupling at a first side of said leg support unit at a position that said first mounting hole is coaxially aligned with said leg connecting hole of said leg support unit;
a second reinforcing unit which comprises a second mounting body having a second mounting hole, and a guiding groove formed at said second mounting body, wherein said second mounting body is arranged for coupling at said frame support unit at a position that said second mounting hole is coaxially aligned with said frame connecting hole of said frame support unit; and
a connecting unit extending through said leg connecting hole, said first mounting hole, said frame connecting hole, and said second mounting hole to couple said first and second reinforcing units with each other at a position that said first guiding member is movably received in said guiding groove for enabling said leg support unit to be pivotally moved with respect to said frame support unit and for restricting said leg support to be pivotally moved between a folded position and an unfolded position.
9. The reinforcing arrangement, as recited in claim 8 , wherein said second mounting hole is formed at a center of said second mounting body, wherein said guiding groove is coaxially aligned with said second mounting hole and defines a curvature circumferentially and partially surrounding said second mounting hole of said second mounting body.
10. The reinforcing arrangement, as recited in claim 8 , wherein said first mounting body further has an extended mounting portion peripherally extended from said first mounting body for coupling at said first side of said leg support unit so as to increase a mounting area between said first mounting body and said leg support unit.
11. The reinforcing arrangement, as recited in claim 9 , wherein said first mounting body further has an extended mounting portion peripherally extended from said first mounting body for coupling at said first side of said leg support unit so as to increase a mounting area between said first mounting body and said leg support unit.
12. A reinforcing method for reinforcing a joint portion between a frame support unit and a leg support unit of a foldable furniture, wherein the method comprises the steps of:
(a) coupling a first reinforcing unit at a first side of said leg support unit at a position that a first mounting hole of said first reinforcing unit is coaxially aligned with a leg connecting hole of said leg support unit while a first guiding member of said first reinforcing unit is outwardly protruded from first side of said leg support unit;
(b) coupling a second reinforcing unit at said frame support unit at a position that a second mounting hole of said second reinforcing unit is coaxially aligned with a frame connecting hole of said frame support unit while a guiding groove of second reinforcing unit is provided at said frame support unit; and
(c) coupling said first and second reinforcing units via a connecting unit by extending said connecting unit through said leg connecting hole, said first mounting hole, said frame connecting hole, and said second mounting hole, wherein said first guiding member is movably received in said guiding groove to enable said leg support unit to be pivotally moved with respect to said frame support unit and to restrict said leg support to be pivotally moved between a folded position and an unfolded position.
13. The method, as recited in claim 12 , wherein said second mounting hole is formed at a center of said second reinforcing unit, wherein said guiding groove is coaxially aligned with said second mounting hole and defines a curvature circumferentially and partially surrounding said second mounting hole of said second reinforcing unit.
14. The method, as recited in claim 12 , wherein the step (a) further comprises a step of providing an extended mounting portion which is peripherally extended from said first reinforcing unit for coupling at said first side of said leg support unit so as to increase a mounting area between said first mounting body and said leg support unit.
15. The method, as recited in claim 13 , wherein the step (a) further comprises a step of providing an extended mounting portion which is peripherally extended from said first reinforcing unit for coupling at said first side of said leg support unit so as to increase a mounting area between said first mounting body and said leg support unit.Cited by (0)
