Abstract

Provided is an acenaphtho[1,2-k]benzo[e]acephenanthrene derivative represented by general formula (1): wherein R 1 to R 16 are each independently selected from a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group; and at least one of R 1 to R 8 and R 10 to R 15 is selected from a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group.

The invention claimed is: 
     
       1. An acenaphtho[1,2-k]benzo[e]acephenanthrene derivative represented by general formula (1): 
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         wherein R 1  to R 8  and R 10  to R 15  are each independently selected from a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group; 
         wherein R 9  and R 16  are each a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group; 
         wherein at least one of R 1  to R 8  and R 10  to R 15  is selected from a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, and 
         wherein at least one of R 5 , R 6 , R 12  and R 13  is a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group. 
       
     
     
       2. An organic light-emitting device comprising:
 a cathode; 
 an anode; and 
 an organic compound layer disposed between the anode and the cathode, 
 wherein the organic compound layer contains an acenaphtho[1,2-k]benzo[e]acephenanthrene derivative represented by general formula (1): 
 
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         wherein R 1  to R 16  are each independently selected from a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group; and 
         at least one of R 1  to R 8  and R 10  to R 15  is selected from a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group, 
         wherein the organic compound layer is a light-emitting layer, and 
         wherein the light-emitting layer includes a host material and a guest material, and the acenaphtho[1,2-k]benzo[e]acephenanthrene derivative is the guest material. 
       
     
     
       3. An image display apparatus comprising:
 a plurality of pixels, each of which is the organic light-emitting device according to  claim 2 ; and 
 a unit configured to supply an electrical signal to the organic light-emitting device. 
 
     
     
       4. An apparatus comprising:
 a substrate; 
 the organic light-emitting device according to  claim 2 ; and 
 a color filter film. 
 
     
     
       5. An electrophotographic image-forming apparatus comprising:
 a photosensitive drum; 
 the organic light-emitting device according to  claim 2  configured to form a latent image on the photosensitive drum. 
 
     
     
       6. An illuminating apparatus comprising:
 a plurality of organic light-emitting devices according to  claim 2 , 
 wherein the plurality of organic light-emitting devices is arranged in an in-plane direction. 
 
     
     
       7. An apparatus comprising:
 a substrate; 
 an organic light-emitting device; and 
 a color filter film, 
 wherein the organic light-emitting device comprises:
 a cathode; 
 an anode; and 
 an organic compound layer disposed between the anode and the cathode, 
 wherein the organic compound layer contains an acenaphtho[1,2-k]benzo[e]acephenanthrene derivative represented by general formula (1): 
 
 
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         wherein R 1  to R 16  are each independently selected from a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group; and 
         at least one of R 1  to R 8  and R 10  to R 15  is selected from a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group. 
       
     
     
       8. An electrophotographic image-forming apparatus comprising:
 a photosensitive drum; and 
 an organic light-emitting device configured to form a latent image on the photosensitive drum, 
 wherein the organic light-emitting device comprises:
 a cathode; 
 an anode; and 
 an organic compound layer disposed between the anode and the cathode, 
 wherein the organic compound layer contains an acenaphtho[1,2-k]benzo[e]acephenanthrene derivative represented by general formula (1): 
 
 
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
         wherein R 1  to R 16  are each independently selected from a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group; and 
         at least one of R 1  to R 8  and R 10  to R 15  is selected from a halogen atom, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted amino group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryl group, and a substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclic group. 
       
     
     
       9. An illuminating apparatus comprising:
 a plurality of organic light-emitting devices, 
 wherein the plurality of organic light-emitting devices is arranged in an in-plane direction, and 
 wherein the plurality of organic light-emitting devices comprise:
 a cathode; 
 an anode; and 
 an organic compound layer disposed between the anode and the cathode, 
 wherein the organic compound layer contains the acenaphtho[1,2-k]benzo[e]acephenanthrene derivative represented by general formula (1):
