Abstract

The organic EL device includes a base material as a substrate, a plurality of organic EL elements disposed on the based materials, a seal layer covering the plurality of organic EL elements to seal, color layers of at least red, green, and blue corresponding to a plurality of organic EL elements and formed on the seal layer, and a convex portion which is formed by dividing each of colored layers with different colors on the seal layer, and whose height is lower than the height of a colored layer of at least red, green, blue on the seal layer. The convex portion has a property of optical transparency, and is formed using a photosensitive resin material which is a main material of the colored layers, for example.

What is claimed is: 
     
       1. An organic EL device comprising:
 a substrate; 
 a plurality of organic EL elements disposed above the substrate; 
 a seal layer covering and sealing the plurality of organic EL elements; 
 a colored layer of at least red, green, and blue formed above the seal layer in response to the plurality of organic EL elements; and 
 a convex portion which is formed by dividing each of the colored layers of different colors between the seal layer and the colored layer, and a height of the convex portion is lower than a height of the colored layer. 
 
     
     
       2. The organic EL device according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the convex portion has optical transparency, and 
 wherein the top portion of the convex portion is overlapped by the colored layer of at least one color. 
 
     
     
       3. The organic EL device according to  claim 2 ,
 wherein the convex portion is made of a same photosensitive resin material as the colored layer. 
 
     
     
       4. The organic EL device according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the convex portion is made of a metal material or a dielectric material. 
 
     
     
       5. The organic EL device according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein an area of the bottom surface in contact with the seal layer of the convex portion is larger than an area of the top portion of the convex portion. 
 
     
     
       6. The organic EL device according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the organic EL element and the colored layer are provided in each sub-pixel, and 
 wherein the convex portion is formed so as to divide the sub-pixel. 
 
     
     
       7. The organic EL device according to  claim 1 ,
 wherein the seal layer includes:
 a first seal layer sequentially which is stacked from the plurality of organic EL element side and made of inorganic material; 
 a flattened layer; and 
 a second seal layer made of inorganic material. 
 
 
     
     
       8. A method of manufacturing an organic EL device, comprising:
 forming a seal layer which seals to cover a plurality of organic EL elements disposed above a substrate; 
 forming a convex portion in the sealing between sub-pixels of adjacent different colors among sub-pixels of at least red, green, and blue; 
 forming a color filter, which coats a photosensitive resin material including a coloring material above the substrate where the convex portion is formed using a spin coating method and forms each colored layer of at least red, green, and blue corresponding to the sub-pixel, 
 wherein in the forming of the convex portion, the convex portion is formed so that the height of the convex portion above the seal layer may be lower than the height of the colored layer on the seal layer. 
 
     
     
       9. The method of manufacturing an organic EL device according to  claim 8 ,
 wherein in the forming of the convex portion, the convex portion is formed using the photosensitive resin material which does not include the coloring material. 
 
     
     
       10. The method of manufacturing an organic EL device according to  claim 8 ,
 wherein in the forming of the convex portion, the convex portion is formed using a metal material or a dielectric material. 
 
     
     
       11. The method of manufacturing an organic EL device according to  claim 8 ,
 wherein in the forming of the convex portion, the convex portion is formed so as to divide the sub-pixel in a plane. 
 
     
     
       12. The method of manufacturing an organic EL device according to  claim 8 ,
 wherein in the forming of the color filter, the colored layers of red, green, and blue are formed in an order of the thinnest thickness of an object. 
 
     
     
       13. An electronic equipment comprising the organic EL device according to  claim 1 . 
     
     
       14. An electronic equipment comprising the organic EL device according to  claim 2 . 
     
     
       15. An electronic equipment comprising the organic EL device according to  claim 3 . 
     
     
       16. An electronic equipment comprising the organic EL device according to  claim 4 . 
     
     
       17. An electronic equipment comprising the organic EL device according to  claim 5 .
