Abstract
A first base station transmits a message to a second base station after a handover decision for a wireless device supporting beamforming and multiple carrier configurations. The message includes a plurality of measurement configuration parameters for the wireless device. The first base station receives a response from the second base stations. The first base station transmits a handover command to the wireless device subsequent to receiving the response message.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A method for use by a first base station, the method comprising:
(A) one or more communication interfaces;
(B) one or more processors; and
(C) memory storing instructions that, when executed by said one or more processors, cause said first base station to:
(i) transmit to a second base station and after making a handover decision for a wireless device, at least one first message comprising:
(1) one or more parameters indicating said wireless device supports configuration of a maximum of k channel state information (CSI) processes for a carrier, k being an integer greater than one; and
(2) first configuration parameters of:
(a) j CSI reference signals for said carrier, j being an integer smaller than or equal to k; and
(b) m CSI interference measurement resources for said carrier, m being an integer smaller than or equal to k;
(ii) receive from said second base station, at least one second message comprising second configuration parameters of:
(1) p CSI reference signals, p being an integer smaller than or equal to k; and
(2) q CSI interference measurement resources, q being an integer smaller than or equal to k; and
(iii) transmit, to said wireless device and after receiving said at least one second message, a third message comprising said second configuration parameters of:
(1) said p CSI reference signals; and
(2) said q CSI interference measurement resources.
2. The first base station of claim 1 , wherein said instructions, when executed, further cause said first base station to:
(a) encrypt said third message; and
(b) protect said third message by an integrity header.
3. The first base station of claim 1 , wherein said third message:
(a) further comprises configuration parameters of physical channels; and
(b) causes said wireless device to set up or modify at least one radio bearer.
4. The first base station of claim 1 , wherein said third message comprises at least one of a physical layer parameter, a media access control layer parameter, and a radio link control layer parameter.
5. The first base station of claim 1 , wherein said third message comprises uplink channel configuration parameters and handover parameters.
6. The first base station of claim 1 , wherein said third message comprises at least one radio resource configuration parameter comprising at least one physical channel configuration parameter.
7. The first base station of claim 1 , wherein second channel state information reference signals are transmitted by said second base station.
8. The first base station of claim 1 , wherein second demodulation reference signals are transmitted by said second base station.
9. The first base station of claim 1 , wherein said third message further comprises configuration parameters of a plurality of carriers.
10. A first base station comprising:
(A) one or more communication interfaces;
(B) one or more processors; and
(C) memory storing instructions that, when executed by said one or more processors, cause said first base station to:
(i) transmit to a second base station and after making a handover decision for a wireless device, at least one first message comprising at least one of:
(1) one or more parameters indicating said wireless device supports configuration of a maximum of k channel state information (CSI) processes for a carrier, k being an integer greater than one; and
(2) first configuration parameters of:
(a) j CSI reference signals for said carrier, j being an integer smaller than or equal to k; and
(b) m CSI interference measurement resources for said carrier, m being an integer smaller than or equal to k;
11. The first base station of claim 10 , wherein said third message:
(a) further comprises configuration parameters of physical channels; and
(b) causes said wireless device to set up or modify at least one radio bearer.
12. The first base station of claim 10 , wherein said third message comprises at least one of a physical layer parameter, a media access control layer parameter, and a radio link control layer parameter.
13. The first base station of claim 10 , wherein said third message comprises uplink channel configuration parameters and handover parameters.
14. The first base station of claim 10 , wherein said third message comprises radio resource configuration parameters comprising one or more physical channel configuration parameters.
15. The first base station of claim 10 , wherein said instructions, when executed, further cause said first base station to:
(a) encrypt said third message; and
(b) protect said third message by an integrity header.Cited by (0)
