Claims

Abstract

The invention relates to a flameproof agent stabilizer combination containing, as component A 40-99 wt. % of a phosphinic acid salt of formula (I) and/or a diphosphinic acid salt of formula (II) and/or polymers thereof, wherein R 1 , R 2 are the same or different and represent C 1 -C 18 -alkyl linear, branched or cyclic, C 6 -C 18 -aryl, C 7 -C 18 -arylalkyl and/or C 7 -C 18 -alkylaryl; R 3 represents C 1 -C 10 -alkylene, linear or branched, C 6 -C 10 -arylene, C 7 -C 18 -alkylarylene or C 7 -C 18 -arylalkylene; M represents Mg, Ca, Al, Sb, Sn, Ge, Ti, Zn, Fe, Zr, Ce, Bi, Sr, Mn, Li, Na, K and/or a protoned nitrogen base; m represents 1-4; n represents 1-4; x represents 1-4, as component B 1-60 wt. % of a phosphinic acid salt of general formula (III) wherein R 4 represents C 1 -C 18 -alkyl linear, branched or cyclic, C 6 -C 18 -aryl, C 7 -C 18 -arylalkyl or C 7 -C 18 -alkylaryl and M represents Mg, Ca, Al, Sb, Sn, Ge, Ti, Zn, Fe, Zr, Ce, Bi, Sr, Mn, Li, Na, K and/or a protonated nitrogen base, as component C 0-50 wt. % of a synergist containing nitrogen and/or a phosphorous/nitrogen flameproof agent, as component D 0-10 wt. % of a zinc salt and/or a basic or amphoteric oxide, hydroxide, carbonate, silicate, borate, stannate, mixed oxide-hydroxide, oxide-hydroxide-carbonate, hydroxide-silicate and/or hydroxide-borate and/or mixtures of said substances, as component E 0-10 wt. % phosphonite or phosphonite/phosphite-mixture and as component F 0-10 wt. % ester and/or salts of long-chained fatty acids having 14-40 C-atom, the total of the components always amounting to 100 wt. %, under the proviso that if R 4 represents C 1 -C 18 -alkyl, then at least one of the groups R 1 and/or R 2 represent C 6 -C 18 -aryl, C 7 -C 18 -arylalkyl and/or C 7 -C 18 -alkylaryl.

A flame retardant-stabilizer combination comprising as component A, 40 to 99% by weight of a phosphinic salt of the formula (I), a diphosphinic salt of the formula (II), polymers thereof, or a combination thereof

 R 3  is a linear or branched C 1 -C 10 -alkylene, C 6 -C 10 -arylene, C 7 -C 18 -alkylarylene or C 7 -C 18 -arylalkylene; 
 M is Mg, Ca, Al, Sb, Sn, Ge, Ti, Zn, Fe, Zr, Ce, Bi, Sr, Mn, Li, Na, K, a protonated nitrogen base or a combination thereof;
