Abstract

Techniques associated with an implant system for imparting vibratory massage to tissue within a body is disclosed. In some examples, a device includes a case having an engaging surface configured to conform to a surface of a bladder, a passage extending from an opening on the case to another opening on the case, the passage configured to receive a securing member, a vibration generator coupled to the case and configured to generate a vibration, and a power receiver coupled to the case, the power receiver having a receiving coil and configured to receive electrical energy from a remote source.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed:

       1. A vibratory, implantable device for implantation in a urinary bladder to induce evacuation of the urinary bladder, the device comprising:
 a cylindrical case comprising an engaging surface configured to conform to a surface of the urinary bladder;
 a first conical mount coupled with one end of the cylindrical case and comprising a first passage extending from a first opening on the first conical mount to a second opening on the first conical mount, the first passage configured to receive a first securing member;
 a second conical mount coupled with an opposite end of the cylindrical case and comprising a second passage extending from a third opening on the second conical mount to a fourth opening on the second conical mount, the second passage configured to receive at least one of the first securing member or a second securing member;
 a tube-shaped receiving coil disposed inside the case;
 a vibration generator disposed within the receiving coil at a first end of the case, configured to generate a vibration, and comprising:
 a cylindrical motor having an axle; and
 a flywheel attached to the axle of the motor and having an eccentric mass;

 a power supply disposed within the receiving coil at a second end of the case; and
 a printed circuit board disposed within the receiving coil between the vibration generator and the power supply.

       2. The device of claim 1 , further comprising a control signal receiver electrically coupled to the vibration generator and configured to receive a control signal from a remote device to generate the vibration.

       3. The device of claim 1 , wherein the receiving coil is configured to receive electrical energy from a remote source and to receive a control signal encoded within the electrical energy from the remote source.

       4. The device of claim 3 , wherein the receiving coil is configured to receive the electrical energy inductively from the remote source.

       5. The device of claim 1 , wherein the surface of the bladder is located between locations of the bladder where ureters are joined to the bladder.

       6. The device of claim 1 , wherein the first and second securing members comprise first and second sutures.

       7. The device of claim 1 , wherein the first passage is curved and the second passage is straight.

       8. The device of claim 1 , wherein the printed circuit board comprises:
 a switch;
 a charging circuit;
 a receiver; and
 a microprocessor.

       9. The device of claim 1 , wherein the power supply comprises a battery.
