Abstract
The present invention relates to a humanized IgG1 isotype anti-CD6 antibody (T1h) that binds to the Scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) domain 1 (D1) of CD6 present on the surface of thymic epithelial cells, monocytes, activated T cells and a variety of other cells types.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedThat which is claimed is:
1. A method of treatment for an inflammatory disorder, the method comprising administering to a patient a therapeutically effective amount of a monoclonal anti-CD6 antibody that binds to domain 1 (D1) of CD6 without interfering with ALCAM binding, wherein the monoclonal antibody comprises heavy and light chain variable regions comprising amino acid sequences as set forth in SEQ ID NOs: 1 and 2, wherein the inflammatory disorder is multiple sclerosis, transplant rejection, rheumatoid arthritis or psoriasis.
2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the therapeutically effective amount is a dose of 0.1 to 25 mg/Kg/week.
3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the monoclonal anti-CD6 antibody is administered in combination with antigens capable of eliciting an anti-inflammatory immune response selected from a group comprising Glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) and Heat Shock Protein 60 (HSP60), Myelin Basic Protein (MBP) and Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG).
4. The method of claim 1 , wherein SEQ ID NOs: 1 and 2 are encoded by SEQ ID NOs: 3 and 4 respectively.Cited by (0)
