Method of processing non-real time service and broadcast receiver
Abstract
A method of processing a non-real time service of a broadcast receiver, which receives and processes a service being transmitted in non-real time, and a broadcast receiver are disclosed. Herein, the method of processing a non-real time service of a broadcast receiver includes receiving a signaling information table including additional information on contents configuring a non-real time service and a content identifier for each content, acquiring the additional information on contents and the content identifier for each content from the signaling information table, storing contents being downloaded through a FLUTE or an internet in a storage medium, based upon the additional information on contents and the content identifier for each content, and displaying a list of recordings including the contents stored in the storage medium, wherein a list of recordings screen displaying the list of recordings includes at least one of a content name, a channel name, a date of recording, and a content size.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1. A method of transmitting a broadcast signal for a broadcast service, the method comprising:
generating the broadcast signal having the broadcast service, and signaling data for signaling the broadcast service, wherein the broadcast service includes one or more non-real time contents, each of which consists of one or more files,
wherein the signaling data includes a content information element containing information describing the one or more non-real time contents available for download to storage in a broadcast receiving device,
wherein the content information element includes content linkage information used to link the one or more files described in a file description element which contains metadata for the one or more files belonging to a non-real time content of the one or more non-real time contents; and
transmitting the broadcast signal and the signaling data,
wherein the content information element further includes content size information representing size of the non-real time content, wherein the content size information is used by the broadcast receiving device to determine if enough memory is available to store the non-real time content before downloading is attempted, and
wherein the content information element further includes update availability information specifying whether updates are expected for the non-real time content or not.
2. The method of claim 1 ,
wherein the broadcast signal further includes service information element containing information for service acquisition for broadcast services, and
wherein the service information element includes service category information specifying a category of the broadcast service that corresponds to a non-real time service.
3. The method of claim 2 ,
wherein the service information element is carried in IP (Internet Protocol) packets with a specific IP address and a specific port number.
4. An apparatus for transmitting a broadcast signal for a broadcast service, the apparatus comprising:
a broadcast signal generator that generates the broadcast signal having the broadcast service, and signaling data for signaling the broadcast service, wherein the broadcast service includes one or more non-real time contents, each of which consists of one or more data files,
wherein the signaling data includes a content information element containing information describing the one or more non-real time contents available for download to storage in a broadcast receiving device,
wherein the content information element includes content linkage information used to link the one or more files described in a file description element which contains metadata for the one or more files belonging to a non-real time content of the one or more non-real time contents; and
a transmitter that transmits the broadcast signal and the signaling data,
wherein the content information element further includes content size information representing size of the non-real time content, wherein the content size information is used by the broadcast receiving device to determine if enough memory is available to store the non-real time content before downloading is attempted, and
wherein the content information element further includes update availability information specifying whether updates are expected for the non-real time content or not.
5. The apparatus of claim 4 ,
wherein the broadcast signal further includes service information element containing information for service acquisition for broadcast services, and
wherein the service information element includes service category information specifying a category of the broadcast service that corresponds to a non-real time service.
6. The apparatus of claim 5 ,
wherein the service information element is carried in IP (Internet Protocol) packets with a specific IP address and a specific port number.Cited by (0)
